@bisexualbuffthug You must be joking, while I do agree that the Master System has bigger, more detailed sprites your forgetting that they also had that nasty box of nothing around them. This version may be less pleasing to look at but it handles way better and is generally more fun to play.

This version is my favorite because it runs and plays faster than the arcade version, has my favorite rendition of the music (love the PCE's sound chip!), and has the best graphics besides the 32X/Saturn/etc perfect-ports.

at the time of the PC-Engine version, and before the 32X, there WAS a better home version of Space Harrier, it was on the Sharp X68000 computer, and it was a better conversion compared to the PC-Engine version. not as good as the 32X or Saturn versions, but very good.

I think the Amiga version is superior to this version (except the audio, which was very bad considered the powerful sound hardware in the Amiga)

But i have to admit this version is closer to the arcade version, but that doesn't mean it was better.

@Ahle2 Sorry dude, But the Amiga version plays like absolute crap. This is the case with many Amiga ports. This may not look like much, But the controls and playability rivals that of the Arcades and better in some cases (objects don't linger on screen forever, so game play is faster).

hard game. I played the sega master system version. I think there is 18 levels if I aint mistaken. I got to lv 17 or 18 cant remember but I died. I think there is also an continue trick too. I forgot. I loved space harrier 3d for the master system however.
