@svojon No not at all. I used Bandimere Speedway's scales right after they were calibrated for nationals. My 1986 Fox fully equipped, a/c, power, blah blah, weighed in right at 3,749. Mine is a T top car so that adds weight due to the extra sub frame supports, not as much as a convertible but adds some.
@svojon Oh and my mustang only ran a 17 at 6,000 ft LOL, yes I know VERY slow but that was 4 years ago and I am currently working on a 1966 Ford fairlane, single turbo charged 393 strocker so thaty'll be fun when it's done. P.S. I'm not supporting laford1986 at all I think you did a good job on your pickup.
@calvinculpalt So your saying a mustang weighs the same as a truck with a big block? Even though all of the mustang sites state that the heaviest fox body is 3400 (yes i wrote 3300 but i later found it was 3400)
@sniperlif3 Depends on what big block your talking about and what truck. My chevy 2500 with a 454 weighs around 4,500 so no my fox does not weigh as much as my pickup.
@psychotikpaisano Yeah... Duh, thats what the blazer is rated at... A 454 ss weighs 4200 and the heaviest fox body weighs 3400. The numbers arent exact but it is what they are all rated straight from the factory on the fact sheet from each car.
@svojon is that what these trucks weigh? I have two friends with them and neither have weighed them yet. All we saw was the inside of the door which reads 5600 LBS GVWR which I wasnt sure if that was the max it can weigh as the box is loaded and etc or if they were truly that heavy. Great truck man! @69CRUZR 1500 is a half ton truck. meaning it can carry 1000lbs on the vehicle itself. meaning if the gvwr is 5600 lbs, the truck weighs approx. 4600 give or take.
