@damriteg6 why would a sequel do the same thing like its predesccor did?Nobody liked the HUB SA1 had? it had nothing in it, Mystic Ruins was just empty and so was Station Square. in 2000, during its development toward SA2, Sega was heading to use ONLY 3 characters such as: Sonic, Knuckles, and DR. Eggman. Shadow was supposbly to be SONICS "alter ego" aka Dark Sonic. But Sonic Fans wanted more characters. So at the last minute they made Rouge and Shadow. And From Stage to Stage came from classics

The story was meh but towards the end I swear I felt like I was playing Kingdom Hearts 2 but that's just me. And the princess falling in love with a Hedgehog thing was... Yeah, I wonder how Amy would have reacted if she saw lol

Reminds me of when i was 6 years old sittin down with my Dreamcast playin Sonic Adventure everyday. Beating the story over and over and never ever gettin tired. And also I LOVED how they put all of this together in one motion, like While Knuckles island was falling Sonic was on his way to fight Chaos. Or how while Tails was battling Eggman in Station Square, Sonic infiltrated his base. WAAAAAAAAY better then that damn plumber in a blue jumpsuit.

This is why I always loved Sonic games more than Mario. Yeah, Mario is great and all, but I could never get past the fact of how there is always a complete lack of story. At least Sonic games put a lot of plot in them that tie up past occurrences and secrets. Sadly, Sonic is going down a little, which is actually annoying because games like Sonic Adventure prove Sonic team can very well make a great 3d game with a great story and character development.

@LilyMagick666 Games like the new Sonic the Hedgehog did such a disservice for the series. I love Sonic, but I won't try to hide the fact that the game was downright horrible. The story itself wasn't so bad, but what was representing it, script, voices, character development, were horrible and badly written. That along with horrible gameplay mechanics, long load times, a complete lack of graphic personality, and a human to animal romance made it a truly unbearable game.

@alucard6770 yeah, sonics has always been more about story then mario. even back in the 90's we had the SATAM cannon where as mario had games & a toon as well..with little cannon.. then of course in 98 the modern Game cannon was established with Sonic Adventure, thats why I like sonic more as well.. he has more interesting cannons then mario. I love this game. Hell... It's probably my favorite sonic game. But it's kinda of painful to watch some of the cutscenes. Like Bigs cutscene or the part where Tails plane starts malfuntioning. The sound effects are just terrible. It reminds me of a Hana Barbra cartoon. I mean, I'm awar that this game was aimed for the younger audience but come on!

@Mikeyourdude Nope. The reason it's called Angel Island is because it was meant to stay afloat in the sky. In a way, Angel Island also keeps the Master Emerald guarded from prying eyes by being high up in the sky, so the two (the emerald & the island) sort share a symbiotic relationship. The reason it needs to be guarded is because it's the most powerful object on the planet. :p

Not a lot of ppl play the sonic games for their story, so don't feel stupid if you didn't know this. :p
