Finally, it doesn't matter if Dolly's version is better than this one or not, because both versions are just different, you can't compare them. And you like her version better but, as spike says he's taking the song to another level, otherwise, it wouldn't be another version of the song, it would be the same thing played by another person.
I think this discussion is pointless. Bobdada is wrong when he afirms that we are not going to like TWS in some years, because, who knows what will pass in the future? Besides, everybody has a different taste in music here, but we all like TWS so he can't just watch the video and start critizicing the band, THAT is inappropriate.

if you listen to Jack Whites other band, The Raconteurs you will notice that jack likes the way meg plays the drums, because alot of the time the drummer for the Raconteurs plays the same way..
Jack White has the coolest voice in the world, the best modern day musician (being accomplished with electric guitar, accoustic, xylophone, harmonica, piano, banjo etc) and Meg is supa sexy as well as adding great drums to the band. They might be easy drums to play, but they still rock.

Also, I don't hate the WS, but I still don't understand how they became big. They are okay at what they do and I can even see them winning a city-wide battle of the bands, but how they got national acclaim is simply baffling. Maybe because they sound as good as some of the better high school groups out there and they had a couple of really catchy songs.

hah the idiots singing along is annoying...i agree with whoever said that...i mean i don't care if he encourages it, because you can't hear him. i like his outfit by the way. hah. and the guitar-playing on this song, too. it's kinda haunting...and yeah this is a sad song..

Also, I don't hate the WS, but I still don't understand how they became big. They are okay at what they do and I can even see them winning a city-wide battle of the bands, but how they got national acclaim is simply baffling. Maybe because they sound as good as some of the better high school groups out there and they had a couple of really catchy songs.
