I've heard that bonobos are rarely kept in zoos due to their socially sexual behavior, which tends to be embarrassing to a lot of zoo visitors. What is done to prevent them from going at it all the time?

@cre8ivmind there is nothing that is done to prevent them from doing "it" all the time. Remember, they are not at it 24/7. Usually sexual activities happen during feeding times where "stress" is greatest. check out youtube K5zOlPsO6U4 is an example where kids watching and something happens.
