Christopher Reeves is a true inspiration. We can do anything if we set out minds to it! People with his type injury only live around 7 years. Reeves pushed the envelope making it to 9 years. He never got the chance to walk again. However, if he had lived another 10 years...I know for a fact he would have walked again! He had the vision in his mind and was not letting it go. Whatever we focus on with true belief, love and faith will eventually come to pass! God bless Chris & Dana!!!!!!!!!

Enormous talent of Chris Reeve : actor (cinema and theatre), artistic director, writer, director of the Christopher Reeve Foundation. Attentive father of his 3 children. He wasnt only for 4-times the performer of Superman but he wonderfully played a lot of characters simultaneously in cinema and tv movies his repertoir filmographic was very impressive. In fact : handsome actor, talented, charismatic, sensitive, courageous, modest with a good sense of humour!

As the years go on, he no longer just pauses after talking. He draws in a sharp breath in a very noticeable way, like a spasm. I'm no doctor but I guess that happened because his lungs weakened over the years, not being exercised properly, and he went from talking almost normally in this video to sucking in air like a vacuum cleaner on turbo after every sentence. Talk about will to live (and his son Will was sadly to become the only one to live after they both passed away).

Chris was a superman on screen for me as a little girl. I became a nurse after his accident and I take care of people with similar conditions to what he had. He was superman on screen, but in real life he was a superman because he survived for so long after his near fatal injury. Rest in peace, Chris.

I met christopher reeves in a theatre in the westend of London one evening in rehearsal. It was in the 80s after finishing the sequal(superman two). I asked him if he know of a third film, he wasnt sure or diddnt want to give anything away. I was about 18 years old and he looked like a giant of a man. He signed his name on a piece of paper which I have since lost and I have never forgot that day. I started bodybuilding from that time on. Hearing of his accident and then death. Im very sad.

I'm reading Christoper's books "Still Me" and "Nothing is Impossible" and he is truly an inspiration to all those whose lives have been touched with either family members or themselves with paralysis. One of my brothers recently became tetraplegic after a fall and when he is out of intensive care i want to read him christophers stories for inspiration.
