How Can Christians Explain Truth to Others?

When I ask a christian if all cancers in the world could be cured with a prayer, he shuffles uneasily; he steals a glance into the empty sack of his faith as if to try to find something, then he begins, not to say that his faith has collapsed, or that he is sorry, but to claim that god moves in ways that cannot be understood by humans - an explanation that could answer any situation; for if I ask him why the cancer is there in the first place – lo! - the same answer!

if you need proof that the bible is the word of GOD then you need to do some research on your own,,,why does everyone expect a pastor to convince them? look, if you want to know if Jesus is GOD then go read the Bible yourself,,,,go look into the manuscript evidence the reliability of the scripture, biblical archeology etc dont expect someone else to convince you ,,,GOOGLE IT ALL AND RESEARCH FOR YOURSELF HE IS WORTH IT

@candiceevans1 Did the research. Apparently the Bible is factually inaccurate about many of its claims , and stands in stark conflict with the scientific evidence. Oh well , it wasn`t a very nice idea anyway , the thought of a wrathful invigilator of everything you do being present , and the idea that humanity is wretched is a curse we don`t need . Paul started Chp 7 telling the readers he is speaking in the third person to teach how sinning effect the unsaved

Paul stop all sinning ,Holy men wrote the bible.. not sinning rebellious people

It is not God's choice whether or not we go to Hell or Heaven. We have been given a free will, which means if you don't want to go to Hell you don't have to. God does not do the torturing in Hell...Hell is a place where God is not and thats what makes it so terrible. Jesus didn't have to die, He could have easily struck down the gaurds and went back home but out of love he became a sarcrafice...the last sacraficial lamb.

Yea, I was raised with the understanding my parents had - that we all have free will to decide to follow God. Of course, my parents had not read the Bible. Now that I have, I see that MANY verses indicate God is the One Who decides who follows Him.

I would go so far as to say that while the other religious texts may be regarded as holy the bible is the only one that truly contains God's word (2 Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is God breathed; 2 Peter 1:20-21 - The words of this book are of God's will not man's). Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am THE way, THE truth, THE light, no one gets to the Father except through me". If what the bible says is true we have no choice but to regard it as the ONLY holy book.
