Ryan This is great. My wife just got me an A&L also. I'm just learning. Like you times are rough no money for lessons or cd's. Any help on helping a guy teaching himself.? By the way I was gonna give up many times but its players like you that keeps a guy like me going.

ty for the comment and my advice is pretty simple learn songs you love via tab / video / friends whatever and just play for the love of it. If you are playing songs you enjoy it makes practicing quite easy just jam and have fun skill will come with time no real tricks :P

it's a real shame you can't record them with better sound quality

you can do so much alone just you and your guitar ... that's something i really envy

thanks for the very positive comments and I agree about the recordings I do wish I could record them with much better sound / picture quality but sadly Im pretty poor and times are tough, no upgrades in my near future :(

guitar is great Derek thanks for asking, I actually havent changed the strings yet lol Im so lazy but I am very much in love with my A&L it gives me a nice sound especially for the price I paid for it which wasnt a bank breaker.
