Poor George! The new documentary on his life skipped theaters and went straight to cable TV! Although she's great compared to, let's say Yoko Ono...Olivia proved to be an inarticulate muttering housewife. Although she was respectful when talking of George's life, one didn't get the feeling she was in love with him. She sounded more like a secretary or a kindly aunt. If we never felt pity for George before, we can start now!
One should keep in the many, many years that passed, the affairs, and all else that often happens in a life filled challenges we don't often understand. We see what's on the surface...
Not a huge draw box office wise. We all wish (those who enjoyed the music, the journey,) those special moments and photographs could have been seen on the "big screen". Although she's great compared to, let's say Yoko Ono...Olivia proved to be an inarticulate muttering housewife. George liked boring slightly dumb women who liked similar things to him (pattie boyd as well) they both come off bland and self serving in the new doc. Only Phil Spector was more self serving

@MrBEB123 You are mistaking race for ethnicity. They are of the same race and different ethnicity. Olivia is Hispanic , making her of European descent. If they were happy together, what does it matter?

@BLFulle Your completely off on the facts. Hispanics may be Caucasian but they are not the same race as White Europeans. Also "Olivia" is Indian not Hispanic. Her English first name is not appropriate for an Indian as well. The Caucasian group includes Whites, Hispanics and Arabs but they are not all the same race anymore then a Chevrolet Corvette is the same car as a Chevrolet Impala.

@BLFulle Additionally the word ethnic or ethnicity is not scientific and your misguided liberal ideas are not based on scientific principals. Ethnic is more of a locality sort of thing although because it is not based on scientific principal it is not clearly defined. Race is clearly defined although because of degenerate race mixing it is hard to say how long it will be before a situation develops in which the World becomes chaotic and self destructs.

I may be misguided but I'm not a liberal. In fact I'm a conservative, Christian, Republican. So conservative in fact I take the Bible to be the literal word of God, and it teaches we all descended from two people Adam & Eve. We are created in Gods image & are all his children, regardless of our race, ethnicity or color of our skin. The Chevy Corvette & the Chevy Impala are both cars in the end, created by one manufacturer GM, We are all just people created by One God. That's all I have to say.

@BLFulle Race mixing is not a conservative value and the Bible mentions race mixing as a sin (Deuteronomy). Race is not determined by skin color anyway although race does matter. The Bible mentions race and slavery is mentioned as well without any mention of it being a sin. Today's modern interpretations of the Bible are often times inaccurate. Most people today are more interested in "Doctor" Martin Luther King then with the original Martin Luther of the Lutheran Church.

You could get the "word" of God directly into your soul but it's not "literally" in the written word. Jeezus. I can't remember the name of the call-girl book, but it was published in '97 or so. Just look at the video for "Crackerbox Palace": Olivia is in bed with George, wearing a Merry Widow and garters--with a blonde girl in a similar outfit. George sings "Sometimes I'm bad" with the two of them on the bed. It's as if Olivia is saying, "Yeah, I know about his womanizing and it's okay." The myth of Olivia jumping to rescue George from his attacker was dispelled by Olivia herself in the Katie Couric interview. She said George told her what to do every step of the way. She has a very passive personality and is certainly no dynamo. The staff have said that she wouldn't even send a letter without his permission.

Until George was diagnosed with cancer, he was having affairs and doing coke. He was hanging out in LA and messing around with call girls, some of whom wrote a book about him being sexually inconsiderate. Olivia didn't change him. Getting cancer did. Sorry, mythologists, but that's the truth.

I always used to think that Pattie was prettier but that was because i'd never seen Olivia when she was younger but if you look at her in her twenties and thirties, she's stunning, very exotic and beautiful whilst Pattie is just cute. I like both women but I think Olivia is better. She is a loving woman, an understanding wife, an amazing mother and she's no victim, she can take care of herself. I love how she beat the crap out of the guy who tried to kill her husband. She's awesome :-)

@Gabreya I read about the alleged Lory Del Santo fling, but I call bullshit on that one. It supposedly happened during George and Eric's Tour of Japan in 1991, but Olivia and Dhani were with him then.(Dhani even played guitar on some of the songs his father played) Oh... and Lory conveniently waits until almost 6 years after George died, and no longer here admit or deny it to spill the beans! I'm not saying that I don't believe he ever cheated at all, but I just don't believe this story.

Look I agree, George most likely cheated on Olivia - there's is a book, "You'll Never Make love in This Town Again" which claims he had sex with Hookers in the 80's and 90's. I guess I believe that, since it was published in 1996... 5 years BEFORE George died. Had it not been true, you'd think there would have been some lawsuit. But, who knows...I love George, but he was not perfect, I just call bullshit on Lory's story.
