I think it's safe to say that Toyota was the first company to design and mass produce the hybrid automobile. This means a higher risk of recalls for them since they were the first ones sticking their neck out with the new design. Let's fix the minor problem and move on. I bought a Ford Explorer after the Firestone tire incident, it was a good car too.
