This is a priceless treasure of the human spirit and a testimony to Life and Passion for Existence. I don't know why more people are not commenting upon this piece of genius. I heard Oliver's interview with the CBC and his extreme intelligence, genius, highest moral courage rings through me for the balance of my life.
Orange was Oliver's favourite colour. Sporting an orange ribbon on your fiddle (or any other musical instrument) is a sign to others in the know, that you play Oliver's music. All kinds of wonderful things spring from that - serendipity is our friend. Oliver has left a wonderful legacy that is worth sharing and the orange ribbons help us to pass that joy on to others. Peace, my friend.
Oliver left this planet this morning, July 3rd, 2008. It is a sad day, but his legacy will live on. To all those musicians out there - please learn Oliver's tunes and teach them to others. Then, wear an orange ribbon for Oli.
Thank you Oliver.
