  • this is a wonderful figure.you left me without words nice job.I hade also saw your tutorial with megatron and y would ask you if you can do a tutorial on how to paint rotf optimus prime face plate and eyes.Thank you very much and keep up the nice work

  • I can tell this is real good, the lighting and lack of background doe not do this figure justice. Very nice indeed.

  • if you know how to take the swords out for optimus can u make a video about it?

  • @ssjDecepticom I did a new video on prime, it's on my channel. It should answer your question.

  • dude just add the pinstripes around the flames and i think he has some flames on his chest pieces but its perfect man

  • i decided repaint mine too but i will work later.5 estrelas

  • enclinedesigns has a better one. and he also made his own leader class the fallen!!!!!!!but it doesnt transform

  • u forgot to paint the section between his leg and foot were the flames are.its should be red.

  • i use testors enamels

  • I painted mine, but it is not as movie accurate...i made it as i pleased, I did change the major problems, i hand painted it

The video is on my channel...I would love some constructive advice

  • So what if the swords are gold if he wants to paint it gold he can

  • Why don't any of u custom painters paint the reds or blues and make them metallic? Also if you review the revenge of the fallen forest fight scene you would see that his blades are'n't gold. The blade itself has a steel look and the blade edge glows with an orange in collor.

  • Probably cause we're novice painters. For my repaint I do the easier option, coat it with varnish to let it glow and give a metallic effect. The blades aren't gold. It actually is just metal blades, being heated up. It's just the color of high temperature heated metal. So it's not even orange. We're only trying to replicate burned metal color. The blade actually stops burning and whole thing will turn metal color. Seen in transformers 1.

  • Hey, check out my repaint too. It may not be as good, but I'd like to get some constructive comment. Check my videos, there are only two, and it's obvious which one is Prime repaint.

  • why didnt they just do this (mold) two years ago?

  • Definitely better with black washes! Spot on to make it movie accurate!

  • you should remove the swords, his arms can move better that way.

  • prime without his swords would make him less badass

  • Too true. I even deliberately added swords to my Voyager Optimus (I prefer the smaller one, don't ask why because it's complicated) to make it more badass, so what is the point of degrading something as awesome as Optimus Prime?

  • this is awsome!! im no profesional but do you think it would look better with some black wash here and there?

  • so for the silver parts you put the black base then you painted it sliver plz answer back.

  • Yes. That or the base paint. Either or produce the same results.

  • looks better than the premium class. love them swords

  • I actually agree with SS3jackstudios. No I am not saying your work is bad. It is good. But accurate is not exactly it. He is right about the two side panels below the chest piece. it's suppose to be blue. The flames you see are mostly from game cgi online. The lights, may not be silver but it sure is not blue. Blue in movie is due to video fiilter. You know how yellow torch lights can look white? So i'd rather paint it siilver.

  • Don't worry, I took his advice. I went over and fixed it........again.

Don't worry, those details have been fixed. and I will have an Optimus paint tutorial, and show off its newly finished look. *SIGH*

  • 1 of the most BEST custom optimus primes that ive seen so far classic job.........i dont no wat else to say coz its to BRILLIANT,AWSOME JUST FAB AND I MEAN THAT!!

  • i wouldn't say "Accurate" The two side pannels between optimus's crouch and abs are supposed to be blue, not red, and the lights sbove them should be silver

  • The lights are blue, when lit up. But i'll look up those details. Other than that though, i'd say those are minor touch ups compared to the overall figure.

Also, those panels just below the lights do have the flames on it. But I know I should reduce it to show more blue.

Thanks, any help is always appreciated.

  • Nice touch with the blue on the shoulder armour thingys. I see all these "custom" Primes that are supposed to be movie accurate and they miss those small things. Good job!

  • Well, this is why I scrutinized over so many details. His movie model is so complex, it's too easy to take him for granted in thinking you all of his details down. Which is why it's worth going over.

  • nice job dude im working on my second coat

  • Comment removed

  • i dont know how you got them tiny little details down but you did im inpressed with this i think your a natural model painter

    well done

  • For those tiny details, LOTS AND LOTS OF PATIENCE. I just had a mini brush and a perfecting knife. Other times I just used the brush ever so delicately. Lot of tedius work.

  • What sizes of brushes did you use?

  • Check out part 2 of my new video to see for yourself.

  • Okay, didn't notice it was uploaded.

  • nice

  • this is a tight ass design well done...still pretty sad that u had to do this in the 1rst place but great job you made it even better

  • Sad? I guess, since hasbros paint job was not even close to the movie design. I remember when the figure came out, and I picked it up and was "all right, this looks so awesome!" "wait, WTF?"

  • exactly thats whats sad hasbro did such a noob job

  • cool paint job wat other transformers do u hav from da movie

  • I'm currently in the process of painting and Modding Megatron. I also am custom painting human alliance bumblebee.

  • AWSOME Figure Love the design :)

  • Thanks.

  • you made that wow thats awesome

  • Thanks. I spent a month repainting him to look like the movie. Hasbros painting sucked so much, I decided to repaint it completely and match the movie design in every way possible. Its a lot of work, but the results are well worth the effort.

  • you did a great job
