This movie is what all Zombie movies should strive to be, this Night of the Living Dead movie had it all & did not go overboard. This movie is a classic & will always be one, I think that Savini did well in this one & payed a great tribute to Romero with this version. This movie will stand the test of time & will be one of the great classic horror movies of all time. I hope that one day they will put it back on the big screen. This movie deserves it!!

Yeah, it's a shame about the gore, but if you listen to the commentary on the video he says that the MPAA basically slaughtered this film because of his reputation. They actually took him into a room, listed everything they didn't like, and told him "cut this or it won't be made". However, Cinemax did show the unedited version, so it may still be out there somewhere.
