it looks like the frenum was stitched further down than before. will that eventually create a diastemia later on? im a dental nurse in training. my next exam is endodontics
I had one big and one small cystoma on my upper left 2nd and upper right 2nd teeth. Surgery have been done on May the 5th. Unfortunately that wasn't with a laser, I had massive swelling on upper lip after surgery but ice bag and painkillers worked and swelling was totally gone in a week... if there is someone else who is going to have an apicoectomy surgery, there is nothing to be afraid of.I was speaking with surgeon in action! I've seen that dental care is the most important thing in our life
@billiswhite ---put ice on and off the face area for 20 min on and off for a hour rithg after the procedure to avoid some of the brusing and sweling.for the food ,soft diet for fist day fisical activities none for the surgery day and take it easy for next day then u should be fine.dont brush on the area rinsing with warm salt water is the best.
When you´re using MTA, shouldn´t the area be totally dry? Thought that was an absolute necessity, but your assistant is constantly flush with water during the filling...
I had this done on #13 3 days ago. The procedure is super pain-free, just very physical. However, I had LOTS of swelling/bruising. Allergic to anti-inflammatories, so the healing has been strange.
I just had this done, because of a root fracture. There was a great amount of bone destruction, caused by a inflammation followed by infection. The retrofilling was done with MTA, but still a large cavity remained, which was partially filled with collagen. What is recommended, open up again and fill with Bio osteogenerating material/ bone graft? Or let it heal as it is, and hope for bone growth and good results. ?
I had this done today 6 hours ago, on my front molar, upper right side. I'm glad I didn't watch this first. I am on penicillin and ibuprofen. It doesn't feel too bad so far.
I have been getting a reoccurring infection for years and have to get this done, but holy shit, that looks too fucking painful for me, that is gruesome, I'll just get the tooth pulled
A bony cavity in absence of infection will fill with bone even without a filler and I use the radiographic bone fill as guide if I was successful to eliminate the infection.
Jesus! Im going through that in a few hours, in my case its going to be on superior molar tooth, and it really doesnt look like something I want to experience.
My doc told me it was necesary to avoid a tooth extraction, because in my case I have a recurrent infection process going inside there.
But at the end if thats the way It should be well... so be it. The sooner the better, wish me luck dudes!
I had this procedure on the very same tooth yesterday. it's not as bad as youd expect post-op but a lil vicodin is nice the night of the procedure. Procedure itself pretty much feels like someone is scraping your isides out..prolly cuz someone is ;-}
Someone who is interested in getting a patient out of excruciating pain, healing their infection, while saving their tooth from an unnecessary extraction. What's your job, belaj25?
I had this done a couple of hours ago. I look like a duck.

@snowboardjokke
I have used super EBA by Bosworth and have been very successful with it because it can be packed in a wet environment.

MTA sets in moisture. That's what's great about it.
