  • OK, but is this the episode when Schneider gets very dramatic and wants to kick his nephew's butt in the worse way. I remember it so because it was so serious you thought Schneider wanted to literally punch him out. It was a Schneider we never saw before.

  • Did you notice that the tape recorder looks like Darth Vaders chest piece?

  • MMMMMMMMMMM Valerie

  • He could steal from me anyday! Ha ha!

  • @Wrathchild400 Me too! lol. x]

  • You can see Makenzie Phillips snorting coke at 2:05

  • Valerie was and is the BOMB!<3

  • Mark Hamill ,wow!!!!!

  • Aw Mark and Val look so cute together, I wonder if they ever did any dramtic roles or any other roles other then this together.

  • @orlandobabe Not according to IMDB. They were both in Night of 100 Stars II, but that was in 1985, nine years after this episode.

  • @slaybee01 haha i noticed that too

  • Schneider classick cig box in the shirt ...& young Skywalker!

  • Ben Appears 0:27 "No Luke , use the force to place the machine in the box."

  • I wish that they show more of Ms.Phillips in her green leotards..for that matter? I wish that they showed Ms.Bertinelli in sexy leotards on this show?

  • This is the first episode of the series..where "Dwayne F.Schneider"(Mr.Harrington)shows off his acting skills. When he finds out to his horror and outrage that his

    nephew "Harvey"(Mr.Hamill)is a kleptomainiac!

  • Mark Hamill is fine as hell in this, but seems much older here than in Star Wars. He also sounds good with that new york accent!

  • @ria1313 That's funny, 'cause this was made before Star Wars. Maybe it's the haircut he has as Luke.

  • @MinisodeNetwork More than likely this was after he was done filming the first Star Wars. By 1976, as I understand it, it's all the special effects and so forth. I believe George Lucas always did all of the prinicpal photography first.

  • @rohrgedackt8 Hmm, according to a referenced source on Wikipedia, filming began on March 22, 1976. Then another referenced source on Hamill's page says "On January 11, 1977, a day before he was set to shoot one of the final scenes needed for Star Wars, Hamill was in a car accident in which he fractured his nose and left cheekbone." So if this aired in Nov. of 76, he might still have been doing some reshoots at the time that this episode was shot. Good point, though.

  • Too bad her marriage to Van Halen did not

    work out.

  • i would go on a date with barbra and the mom

  • you dont know what a tape recorder is ? better get of the internet and read a history book

  • "You stole both of them?" asks the crack head.

  • What is this "tape recorder" thing?

  • LOL good one

  • Wow, that brought back some memories!

  • Mark Hamill was totally HOT back then!!

  • OK, I am actually directing this towards the Minisode Network; Minisodes are OK (better than nothing I guess), but will this lead to releasing more seasons on DVD? Nothing personal, but I grew up on these shows and the condensed versions just aren't the same.

  • jonthom, unfortunately we don't have insight into any upcoming dvd releases, but if we hear anything, we'll be sure to let you know!

  • well, I wasn't....? My thoughts were: I wish I had been able to see it before YouTube, but I guess I'm too young.

  • i loved this show.

  • past tense? not anymore?

  • Mark was so cute in this. Totally different character than srar wars

  • 1:06 gorgeous

  • AWW, You left out the part where Schneider gets him in a headlock and says "Harvey, we're gonna have a talk!"

  • I used to wacth this show every Sunday with out fail or I think it was Sunday night, mABE Tuesday? It was a great 70's,80's show.

  • I think it Sunday

  • Then why haven't I seen this show until YouTube?

  • And it's all about you, right?

  • Wasn't talking to you.

  • ouch.

  • I'd like to see the one where Barbra gets her nose broken by shnieder.

  • I Love one day at a time! I found it on demand under Tube time.

  • Please play the FULL episodes of Season 2, particularily the infamous 4-part "Runaways" episodes!

  • Any one has the episode where Annie was accused by a male coworker of sexual harrasment?

  • we'll try to check on that one

  • Schneider was the only good thing about this shitty crap.

Ann Romano was the ugliest trash on television.

  • Wear a bra, Annie!

  • "Leave The Doorknob..." Ha!

  • Oh Mackenzie,Mackenzie,Mackenzie,,had everybody fooled huh.

  • I like how Mark is trying to do a Schneider voice in this episode.

  • Use the force Luke... Use the force on Valerie, Luke...

  • Does anyone know where the episode that Barbara and Julie dress up like Elton John and Kiki Dee can be seen? Thanks.

  • That is my favorite one..I also loved the episodes when Julie ran away. I wish they would show these reruns on TVland or one of the other ones.

  • I think that one was for a fund raiser that they tried to have every year. That was a fun episode.

  • when u steal its a sign of the darkside

  • LUKE SKYWALKER!!!

  • Luke. Use the force and tap Barb's ass.

  • Wow. This show aired a LOOONG LOOOONG time ago in an era far away. Barb is talking about tape recorders like we talk about iPods and Blackberrys.

  • whats an iPod?

  • OH god. This is brutal.

  • Still is!

  • Where can I hear the full opening show? The 70's had such bad ass t.v. themes.

  • big deal what are you gonna do call the cops i'm luke fucking skywalker

  • Bonnie Franklin has an aversion to bras apparently.

  • Bonnie Franklin...the original "Braless Wonder"

  • love Barbara's outfit in the group pose at the end of the theme song...

  • that was the coolest video i've ever seen...pause... NOT.

  • Luke I am your father... Really stealing, he turned to the dark side

  • hahahhahahaha *sarcastic laugh*

  • Wow Harvy is a horrible actor but damn that brunette is hot. Probably polished off his light saber in between takes and scoring some blow with that sister of hers

  • WOW!

Valerie Bertinelli was amazing! Her and Marie Osmond were absolute stunners of those days.

  • I bet they both had some massive Bushes.

  • lol jeez

  • No kiddding..wow those were the days..I love the good ol' days.

  • I must whole heartedly disagree. My friend knew him very well throughout their marriage, and there was an exception to the rule when it came to Valerie B. The stories are CRAZY!!!

  • my Dad told me that Val b was nuts to begin with...

& so was Eddie... & they did a lot of coke together lol

  • sounds just about right! At least from the stories I have heard!

  • hahaha yea, i know huh

  • You know Eddie used to watch this between thier touring. He decided to hook up with ole Val baby. I heard he beat the shit outta the handyboy.

  • too bad eddie turned into a blubbering obnoxious retard. Just like Muhammad Ali.. Come on Champ

  • Man sitcoms sure were short in the 70's

  • You left out the denouncement. This isn't Harold Pinter where the audience is left to make up the ending. Here we need the audience to witness Schneider rip Skywalkewr a new one.

  • This is the first 'minisode' I've seen -- nice edit job! With a plot that obvious, you saved me a lot of needless exposition! Please, though, leave in more of cute Valerie Bertinelli in the future!

  • I just had dinner this weekend with an old acquaintance of Valarie's and Eddie's, and she said that during that time, Valerie was a Hoover vacuum when it came to drugs and that she is actually really nasty. She used to slap Ed around and just in general was an abuser.

  • They had reunion on The Today Show last month. Their attitudes toward each other were indifferent and almost hostile. Only MacKenzie Phillips remembered the words to the theme song of One Day At A Time which is ironic since she reportedly blew short term memory on drugs at an early age.

  • Who all was on the reunion? I thought schnider and mackenzie phillips were dead..

  • No, mackenzie phillips is not dead, and neither is Pat Harrington, Jr. unless he died recently.
