Showed this video to my VBS children who are filling shoeboxes and they loved it! I would love to see what happened when he finally opened the box! Can you imagine!!!!!!
That is the so lovely :) im so glad the children can get a gift every child in the world deserves a smile and something to make them smile and feel special x x x x we take so much for granted and i wish i could help every child/person who needed help x
@pipervids you are joking right? or are you just saying this to get a reaction? Wake up to reality, it's not a childs fault as to where they are born or what their situation is. If you don't want to donate then dont, just quit posting rubbish
@jenenifer2007 i know its not there fault but a little shoe box is not gunna help. trust me i sympthize what these children go through but maybe we should fund the money into teaching them how to farm , how to fish. how to build hospitals and how to build a economy for thereselves surely this would be more beneficial than a stupid shoe box
@pipervids you obviously have no children as you don't understand the significance of a shoe box full of little gifts to a small child. The poverty is not going to be solved by swapping a shoebox for a child for money to the country. It's to show these children who get nothing that someone cares about them. Money to the country itself may help in a small way but the box means so much more to a child who has nothing
@jenenifer2007 your missing the point kids in school are being bribed to do this for rewards thats not caring .... i dont think any money at all should be given to the country but a charity set up to teach them how to farm and fish. then once a economy is developed there parents can buy gifts for them. and as far as im concerned it is cruel to have children if your living in these kinda places .
@pipervids missing what point? I'm not in school and neither are many of the people who donate. You really are living in a bubble if you think that by taking the money and putting it into their economy is going to solve their problems... This problem has been going on for years and won't be solved by stopping this single project. We've been donating to different organisations for YEARS and these people are still in this situation so wake up sunshine...
@pipervids I don't know if you know this but the video is from a shoe box gift distribution conducted by Operation Christmas Child. OCC is a project of Samaritan's Purse International. They do clean water projects, disaster relief, food distribution, HIV-AIDS programs and Haiti relief. Check out their web site
@pipervids Did you see how happy that boy was to receive a few small toys? This is an amazing way to make a child's day, or even to possibly change their life.
Why are you so against donating $5 to transform a child's entire life? It's not like anyone is holding a gun to your head, forcing you to give up 5 tiny little dollars to help someone else other than yourself.
And, no, THEY don't need to catch up on technology. You need to catch up on reality. In America, we have WAY more than we need
@FiestaFantasticaI for your information ive raised 100's for charitys like this but its not about a toy your not getting the point . we should put our money and efforts into helping them advance and learn to grow food learn to form a economy that would surely be best for them. because a toy isnt gunna stop them from starving, a toy isnt going to stop them from dying young. so maybe when u think im some kind of racist troll . think again. (btw im european)
If you take a small step... outside your own little world and take a moment to watch you will begin to understand what really counts.
The children and I have done 12 of these now... and between us and some very special people in Darwin, Alice Springs and even down in Sydney. (WTG Sly) we will have helped create more than 100 special moments like these for more than 100 children just like him...
