  • The 1977 Florida All_State Band did this. Kicked it! I Have the recording but needs to be digitized. They did a great job. This group i over its head on this. But considering its High School Class not All-State they are pretty good. Congrats!

  • Now I'm curious. Have any of the orchestra members seen the movie?

  • Incredible drums.

  • Pretty good :)

  • i just playef this song at musselman high school for our spring concert its a really fun piece of music especially when your a percussionist :P

  • Wow!!!

  • WOW!!! Next time you put this on video, you'll need several cameras and a final splicing to mix it. This was a very busy orchestra!!! OUTSTANDING JOB!!!

  • @igloo54 I Agree, too bad I was filming by myself that night. Would've been great to have several cameras.

  • @band1 You did a great job capturing this! Thanks for posting it. It made my day.

  • magnificent

  • 6:37 - this was the first sound of oboe that inspired me so much. <3

  • @fsucornostar You may ask our Main Director @ mohsmusic(dot)com for some info about that. There in the links section is his email address, his name is Elden Seta. Thanks!

  • WOW! Well done and something to be very proud of doing as a high school ensemble. This is a complex piece and your school did a fantastic job.

  • Even sans a string section, this is a pretty magnificent performance.

  • How do I contact the Arranger, Michael Davis, to get this piece ordered for my band???

  • That was MAGNIFICENT! BRAVO!

  • Wow,this is so nice,congratulations~

Going to be playing this as one of our pieces for band showcase, but we haven't even practiced it much and showcase is on the 25th....

Congratulations to you guys again though~ :D

  • You can Watch Moanalua's recent performance of "The Wind and the Lion" (April 9, 2010) by clicking the video in the Video Responses box.

  • Congratulations to the Moanalua High School Symphonic Wind Ensemble and their conductor. Goldsmith's "The Wind and the Lion" is one of the more challenging pieces of film music and you guys definitely did it justice. I couldn't believe you guys were actually going to attempt "Raisuli Attacks" as part of your suite but you guys pulled it off with aplomb! Congratulations again!

  • AMAZING ! Excellent stuff, is SO good to see this wonderful music being performed, and a solid orchestra as well !

  • Fine job. A good performance. The camera could be a little tighter on the band. Not that a lot of the frame is wasted.

  • fucking great fucking FUCKING great did i mention how FUCKING GREAT this was

  • good interpretation of jerry goldsmith's masterpiece

  • This sounds nice and complicated....

I believe I have to play this at showcase....

and we're only a Junior High band.... o.o

    Oh noez.....

  • that link is my schools band

  • amazing, bravo

  • what happened to mac daddys comments :(

  • Our Wind Ensemble too, is known as one of the top in the country. :)

It's amazing how different two similar bands can be.
