i think yah none ever explored hall galaxy our technologies cant do that mabe yet but mabe in wery far far future mabe XD i wish there would be such thing as time machine XD wish to see the dinosours or the homo sapnies ppl :D
As of today the count is 253 known solar systems. Based on that we think solar systems are common, but "billions and billions" is a bit of a leap of faith.
I dont think that fenceman000 knows what he is talking about, he must just take it that there are from people saying "the univerce is massive" wich it is. Personly i do think there are billons in the universe but its For all we know there might me no solor systems further than we can see.
i heard that on a certain date(no one knows for sure)that our solar system is going to be in the middle of the milky way. the cause is that earth is going to wobble. is this true?
We won't be in the middle of the Milky Way, because we orbit out in a spiral arm. However, in 2012 (if I'm remembering right) the Sun and the Earth will be in alignment with the galactic center. That may be what you heard about.
I was watching a show on the Science Channel a while back, and they mentioned how with new telescope technology, scientists working for NASA were able to detect an incredibly similar planet to earth about 200 million light years away. Now, I didn't know what to think of this, considering we barely have the technology to see that far, but it depicted an amazing representation as to what this planet would look like. It was very interesting. I definitely believe we are not alone. What about you?
Nifty

What a dumb name for the title. Of course other solar system exitst Any star with planets in orbit is a solar system.

i can't wait till we find extrasolar dwarf planets and extrasolar moons!
infinityboss 3 years ago
if it took 400 years to find a planet around another star with a telescope then it may take another 400 looking for the moons
clayzee001 2 years ago
true but i think in 400 years we'll have the technology to travel out of our own solar system

WTF! Even the title is retarded - there's billions of billions of solar systems, just in view of earth.
What a stupid title!

yeah and most of the stars they believe are dead and just shine because it takes a long time for its light to reach earth

there probably are billions but we cant proove that tho we can only assume

OMG! Is this why the mayans beleived the world would end in dec 2012?
killedkenny07 3 years ago
Will the alignment cause anything significant?
Frog

Nothing more significant than any other astronomical alignment. In astronomical terms, it affects how we schedule observations, and not much else.

Astronomers discovered a planet in the Aquarius rim, that has average temperature of 20° Celsius. Perfect for colonization.
Too bad its VERY far away.
XFracek55 4 years ago
It's also a large gas giant, 6.5x the mass of Jupiter. Better hope for habitable moons...

IDK and if they have any...and I mean any of the same religons we know thats prolly the one (I am a Christan)
killedkenny07 3 years ago
Exactly. If a star wobbles, that means something is making it wobble, and that something is almost certainly a planet.

id love to see the other planets that we found is a clear or somewhat clear picture that would be sooo sweet.
