i hope that they take this gay storyline seriously i mean its about time that they have a gay romance

every show i see on TV is about boring straight romances - with the exception of a few good ones

they should have will struggle with his sexuality while sonny is being established as a character

i hope that they will be shown in bed

its sad really cuz america is really behind on gay storylines

in europe almost every soap has a gay storyline and they take it seriously

So much is going on with US soaps with some being canceled,actors and writers leaving on Days.I give them props for trying b/c soaps don't have a really good track record and the good thing is Days will be around for at least 2 more years.I don't think they'll show them in bed together like Kyle and Oliver but if they kiss that'll be gr8.

After being taken down the garden path with ATWT I'm going slow with DOOL so as not to get too heavly invested before I bale out. Don't have much hope in US Soaps giving an accurate story line to a Gay relationship, and the Slow way in which they tell storys, you almost have to be brain dead to understand and enjoy. Guys look cute and nice and I hope they get something going but I bet I can come back every couple of weeks and It won't seem like I've miss anything.

How sweet it is to read from people dreaming up gay couples from the caracters that are only friends on the shows, like Chad and Will. I did see some people thinking the same and creating fanfiction for boys on the shows like Merlin, Gossip girl, Supernatural and Heros (for two brothers??!!). Is that showing a certain hunger from the viewers for the male gay characters on the TV? It is just a proof, that there aren't enough and that we need more. I had hopes for Kyle and Brennan on Neighbours...

I like Sonny already, he has a great chemistry with Justin & Adrienne. I can believe them as a family and I'm glad they are establishing him as a character first before rushing into anything else.

1. I LOVE the old opening! So awesome!

2. WHO is embarrassed about watching 90210 but totally cool with watching this? Don't get me wrong, both shows are corny, guilty pleasures, etc, but 90210 has far better production values, writing, plots, etc. I mean, they only have to crank out one show a week instead of 5! Daytime soaps are bottom of the barrel, but hey, we're all here watching, right?^^

3. If they become a couple, BAM! Best-looking gay couple in a very long time!!!

I like that first they are establishing Sonny as a character before thrusting him into the gay storyline otherwise we would only see him like twice and always hear his name only. I like that he's charming and caring because then Will would be slightly uncomfortable with him and it'd be like 'oh two gay guys, they automatically must get together' but I also like how he has that sarcastic sharp tongued natural element to still be different from Will.

Pretty sure Days of our Lives MAKES ppl be bad actors, cause the guy that plays Sonny plays Teddys new boyfriend in 90210 and he is a pretty good actor there.

"Faux incest" isn't "almost as bad as real incest", because Sonny and Will, are not related by blood OR raised as siblings at the same time with the same family. If DOOL had felt like you, Sonny AND Will wouldn't have been born on the show.

Sonny seems to be such a goody-two-shoes so far. Well-traveled. Bought gifts for the parents along the way (where does he get his money?). Likes kids and have wonderful manners... I was hoping Will would get a bad boy to make him less squeaky clean... Maybe Sonny will have a dark side.

I love Sonny already and can't wait for Sonny and Will's story to begin. I agree about his parents. Justin and Adrienne are both dynamic usually but here they seem like background for him. I don't feel the family vibe yet. It seems like the real family story will be Sonny and Victor and how Victor reacts to him being gay. Both scenes emphasized there may be trouble between uncle and nephew.

I like that they're establishing Sonny's personality and his relationship with his parents and extended family first before they enter him into romantic relationships. I heard him mention Grandma Jo (Adrienne's mother) but who was the other person? And weird that there's not one mention of Sonny's three older brothers. I thought the scene with his cousin Parker would have been optimal to mention how Sonny was the "baby" of the family, for newer viewers who don't know his backstory.

Before Sonny starts sharing a bunch of scenes with Will, we need to get know Sonny as a person and see his relationships with parents, cousin Abby, Uncle Vic, etc. That's importance to establish first, then after we know more Sonny, move a head with the gay romance. Especially since Will isn't even out yet & that process the show shouldn't rush or it will be a hack job.

@arogersb I think he said Vern, who is Jo's husband. I don't think they'll mention Sonny's brothers until or unless they are coming onto the show. Until a few weeks ago, they never spoke of Sonny. That's how the soaps work. LOL....

@skyemcleod1 Joey, Vic and Alexander. Only Sonny is Adrienne's biological child. Joey and Vic are adopted, the children of the Kiriakis housekeeper. They're twins.  Alexander is Justin's son.

@Joseito1116 It doesn't. Anthony has made a bit of tradition out of using a show's older intro when he uploads their clips. If I remember correctly this opening stopped being used at some point in the 90s. I think it's cool having the retro element to these clips. A lot of the time they had better openings back in the 80s.

Sonny is sexy in black. His acting is great it could even get better in time. Nice scenes with his parents it kinda lacks chemistry with the three them but more time together and bonding the chemistry will be there.Sonny meeting Chloe was a bit weird i mean they would talk then be quiet for 2 min then talk then quiet again very awkard moment.Sonny and the baby awww.Can't wait to see Victor and Sonny scenes clearly his not going to like that Sonny is gay
