I loved The Temple Of Doom as a kid. It was fast paced and the non-stop chase scenes/cliffhangers for the entire first part was fantastic fun! I definitely wouldn't recommend it for little kids (I think it was the movie that helped create the PG-13 rating), but it definitely was NOT a bad movie. The first 3 were all brilliant. The 4th one could have been great, but a weak story, lack of memorable stunts/escapes, and Shia LaBOOF made for a real letdown.

This game was a lot of fun. While I didn't find it as fun as the Lego Star Wars games or Lego Batman, I still had fun playing this game. What I didn't like was that they weren't always clear on what you had to do. I was stuck at the beginning of the first level of the second movie for 2-3 days because I had no idea what to do. The game didn't give any hint at all what you were supposed to do.

I agree that Temple of Doom was the weakest, but by no means do I consider it to be a bad movie. Although story wise it really has nothing to do with the others. Anyway, you think Temple of Doom was too violent for your son to watch when Last Crusade, which is my favorite, was rated PG-13, and had that very disturbing rapid aging scene. Not to mention the face melting scene in Raiders. Imho, I think that guy's heart being ripped out was relatively tame compared to those 2

But i guess i got fed up after always losing your weapon too soon and being stuck with just your hands against people with guns, and all the falling due to oddly placed invisible walls, and the control scheme really was awkward. I really enjoyed Lego Star Wars, but i have to admit it had the same problems (except the controls, because i had the Gamecube version), and maybe it's just personally not my kinda game anymore.

Aww, but Temple of Doom is the first Indiana Jones i my parents showed me and my youger brother as little kids. We loved it! It's a shame you didn't show it. Violent or not, all movies are violent! Last Crusade is even moreso! But with characters like Willie and Short Round, it's a perfect Indiana Jones movie to introduce kids to the series.

Oddly i found the Muppet Babies episode where they did Temple scarier than the movie ...

But yah, the controls/invisible walls ruined this game for me.

This is my favorite Lego game. Lego Batman sucked, Lego Star Wars was good, but not amazing, same with Lego Indiana Jones 2, it was just okay, not as good as the first. I didn't play Lego Harry Potter or Lego Rock Band, because Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Star Wars were the only good Lego games. Besides, this is the only lego game were I got 100% complete.

I found fustrating the first time I played this game that 80% of the puzzles cannot be solved, I spend so much time trying to break glasses, or destroy metal things. Then I replay the game in free play and thats it, you can switch to any character when you want.
