I heard 1 song fro this band. Just 1 song. And bought every Paw album i could possibly find. I still to this day listen to this band. I miss the grunge era. :(
Por dios hasta dan ganas de llorar cuando uno mira estas bandas y estos videos y volteas a ver la mierda de ahora la verdad se extrañan demasido los 90s
I'm from India and I'm a huge fan of PAW , I've got all their stuff .... the singer reminds of Eddie Vedder to a certain extent , GRUNGE'S NOT DEAD !!!!!!
I would have sworn I was the only person on Earth who knew of this band, it makes me happy to not only see fans but also fans who are recently posting comments on here.. that ROCKS!!!
So my friend and i were fishing down on the docks one day and he was reelin in a nice sized bass and i ran over and screamed "CAN I LEND A HAND?!!?" omg it was so great :)
@MrGhostface2001 yes the era's gone. however, start a band that sounds like grunge and punk and today's kids will shit all over it! the hope for my band is that the old people from my generation like it (and they generally do, even though i post my crappiest songs online right along side my best stuff)
Man, it's a shame these guys didnt put out more stuff. Even the last EP they put out was great. Hennessy had a voice that gave the song almost a movie quality when u followed along with the lyrics. Amazing
totally agree. i went to see 'em in the late 90s, but they had a different singer (even though they were advertising the show w. the old dragline promo photos!) and....oh man, it just was NOT the same. at all. hennessy really made this band what they were.
I was at that show..Kansas Ballroom at the Kansas Union..... it seems like that was about a week or so after the Nirvana Nevermind come out....... that was like Grungy man... no one could believe that Paw was being considered for a major label... it was like, huh?
These guys could have been huge..like Pearl Jam or Nirvana, but I wouldnt go as far as to call them grunge. In a way I'm glad they didnt go big..I'm sure they're not..for the money, but they will always be our band..and never be labeled sell outs. They are what music should be about..
I,ve seen well over a 1000 concerts in my day! & w/out a doubt PAW 1993 at he "Blind Pig" in Ann Arbor MI. remains the best, most awesomest show i,ve ever seen in my life! (you just would have had to be there) Words could never explain! Also fortunate to see them 4 other times in the Detroit area thoughout the 90,s! Whata fucking band! Glad to hear thier putting a project together soon! Cheers! Dragline 4ever!
there are another Paw fans here?? I am a Paw fan from Germany. I first discovered the band when I used to play Road Rash on Playstation 1... Then I saw the Video named Jessie.. I fell in love with that music... I was a school kid back there.. now I am 29 and can't forget them!
Great Band....They not only played grunge, but also hard rock.
I wish I could still get thei album. They got great music. I wish this band lasted longer, or forever. They started during a great era with bands like Swervdriver, Sound garden, and lots of other great bands.
Yeah nigga, exactly. I don´t care if "Teh World" doesn´t catch onto my favourite bands. I mean, I´m sorry for the dudes in Paw themselves because they should be living high on the profits of their awesome music while talentless mongoloids like Durst / Spears / Crazytown / Blunt are struggling with two jobs to pay the rent .... but it´s nice to have music that only a privileged few are enjoying, and not having to worry about complete fuckwits loving the same music.
I remember when this song come out and I think I remember reading an interview or something where he said it was about a shark. Always really liked this band. Don't know why the never caught on. Too metally , southern for the time maybe.
not metally, its pure straight up grunge. they didnt catch on because their record label failed them, but to to prety much everyone who got to hear their music agree they are among the best in the 90s grunge scene
Agreed. It sucks that they didn't enjoy more success as Paw then they did, but at least they haven't been forgotten. One of the most underrated bands in the grunge era, if not ever.
"And I named all her children with hopes that they would obtain some degree of her perfection". Just try and find something as cool as that with today's radio crap.
Paw was the loudest gig I have EVER been too and I have been to many. I attribute that gig to the constant ringing in my ears 10 years later :-) What a great great great band.
Great band that didn't get nearly the respect that they deserved. The rock world nowdays needs a huge kick in the ass and no, I'm not a jaded oldster this is a fact!
I saw Paw at Kitsap County Fairgrounds in 1993 I think it was. The worst part was the fact that it was also the last time I ever saw them. Best live performance I ever saw by a rock band. I have seen them all, and There isn't a band out there who can compare. The biggest upset of the otherwise incredible 90's music scene was the fact that Paw somehow slipped through the cracks to the general public.
Dragline & Home Is A Strange Place Both Rock. Death To Traitors Is So So,But Dragline Is An Album Everyone Should Have. Also The B-Sides Album Keep The Last Bullet For Yourself Is Great.
I couldnt agree more with these comments! I seen Paw at the MI state fair in 93 And was fortunate enough to see them several more times at some very small clubs in the Detroit area. An amazing band! Till this day "Dragline" still resonates so well. One of my top 10 all time. Great disc!
MAn, this is Rock! I miss this band. It's a shame that bands today are so fricking whiny, and yet this band has more emotion than most. Take notes, you pussies!
their lyrics are a clear reflectin of where they come from and the lifestyle of growint up in the mid west.. i used to see these guys play around lawrence kansas when they were starting up and i was in college.. they are allways telling stories about rusty trucks mangy dogs. and keg parties at the lake.. ha ha where the only things to do is to drink and fuck.
The leadsinger is in a new band called "the diamond heart club". Find them on myspace. Grant fitch, the guitarist also has some new demos on myspace...check out new franklin panthers. Also join the paw-98 group. on yahoo.
Geeze they were my fave band in my 20s. I saw this video just once on Mtv and ran out and bought Dragline the next day. To this day this song rocks!!!!
I had completely forgot about them. I haven't heard this song or Dragline since the mid to late 90s....Fukkin kick ass band, thanks for posting the vid!
the beginning of hardcore, emo, grunge, death metal I got this album out of a dollar bin just by chance and to this day they are the best thing Ive heard.Paw is eternal.
