Any 17 year old insuring a 15 year old sub £1000 car will pay far more than a 25 year old driving a £10,000 car. Insurers base the premiums on risk, hence very often (but not always) a biker will pay substantially more due to the number of bikes involved in accidents & almost inevitably they involve injury.
