  • but once it was submerged you didn't need the fan anymore anyways, right?

  • lol u build your computer in a aquarium

  • LMFAO, I can't wait to see the FPS on Minesweep!

  • song is badass!

    hail the jilted generation

  • LOL! Go for watercooling dude, water leads heat 100x better!

  • @MrSbobify yeah... but oil is cheap to set up in the first place... just take the stuff out of the case, whack in in a cheap-ass aquarium and buy some mineral oil... xD

  • thats pretty gay dude.. srsly you prolly say this is an old computer but im sure this is your main computer, go get a job u scrub >_>

  • it wood be cool if you have water cooling inside an oil pc :3

  • @jkmyagoo its simple, you don't even need to make additional heatpipes for your hardware. You just need to set up watercooling pipes in the bottom of your aquarium. WARNING!!! You're doing it at your own risk, because of condensate you need to secure cooling pipes.

  • @boxerdontcare ya if u want 20/kbs transfer speed an slow burst access rates

  • WTF? I CANT PUT A FISH? hmm SO I CAN PUT JUSTIN BIEBER THERE?

  • Must be hard task to turn on and off the system ?

  • Why did you put the Hard Drive in? The oil slows the spinning speed of the HD.

  • @Batlechicken HDDs are generally water/air tight so the platters and the read/write head don't get damaged by dust etc.

  • @Wandering869 HD's apart from SSD. Have a small hole in them to regulate the air pressure created from the disc spinning.

  • Just you wait till your memory fails or you want to put a new processor on! then lets see you like that oil.

  • where are the fishes ?

  • @Salceism in the lake

  • @Salceism in the water as always

  • it is just connected through other cpu that cpu is dead!

  • Oh great plan instead of oil fill it up with water and put some decoretive fishes in it. :D

  • does this make all the parts greasy? and do you really need the fan haha :D

  • @jimbobnooch actually oil dissipates heat faster than air does, so the electrical parts of the computer should run much cooler

  • @jimbobnooch its fake man:))

  • @blackiceshadow no its not.

  • @jimbobnooch ok..

  • How do you change the parts inside when you need to?

    How heavy is it?

  • whats it in the bottle? :o

  • @MrGillo96 oil

  • Did you glued the breathe-holes of the hdd?

  • Jay! Now I can finaly play cabal without setting my computer on fire!

  • I hear solitaire can be pretty demanding

  • Now put your HDD in that aquarium aswell xD

  • noo...BOOM?!!

  • Where is the fish?? hahaaha

  • @stefbcrich fish dont swim in oil. not since the gulf oil spill XD

  • will it actually cool ?

  • fan wont work under there!!! no air,can you please tell me what r temps like and voltage / settings

  • The Prodigy FTW!!

  • looks like a fish tank at first!

  • can i do same in win7 new gamening computer?

  • did your solitaire runs faster after this ?

  • I'm scared.

  • what if a drunk comes in :z

  • yeah, now he can play Solitare EXTREME EDITION ;D

  • You can put fish there xD

  • @watsakorn no they need h2o to live this is mineral oil they will just sufficate but that wuld be cool xD lol they get sucked in by a fan HAHAHAHAHAHA owned.

  • i wonder what would happen if you took off the heat sink off the cpu in that...

  • did hdd work after this normally?

  • nice idea, shit music

  • @ChingXyooj umad

  • omg the hard drive disk !!

  • leaving fans on is useless, right?

  • extreme oil cooling for spider solitaire :)

    extremalne chłodzenie dla pasjansa :)

  • For solitaire you not gonna need this dude. :D

  • thats what i call some extreamly hardcore baddd ass madafaka SOLITAIRE on insane overclocking and cooling creature oil-machine ................

  • What an a waste of oil!!!

  • Deepfryed harddrive Yum Yum Yum

  • omg its a bombbbbbbb !

  • hmm... what oil did you used?

  • wtf? ahahahahah

  • I never lend you my PC :)

  • Ok, now how are you doing to change your graphic card ?

  • WTF why you'r pc don't die !!! ! answer water proof ?

  • @Djmeqa it's a non-conductive oil

  • @josh65780 so its real?

  • @josh65780 fine

  • maybe it's just a tank with computer accessories

  • I don't think that the expense (oil, aquarium, custom design, time) justifies the results, you could get far better cooling with a simple water cooling loop. Plus it's a lot less messy when you have to change something.

  • If this is that innovative, dude, it's time for you to establish a new overclocking record

  • @toniodotcom Yeah, cuz everybody has enough liquid nitrogen to overclock their processor to 8.3 GHz?

  • @bandit70051 ???

  • @toniodotcom The world record in overclocking is 8.3 GHz on an AMD FX processor. They used liquid nitrogen and helium as coolant if I recall.

He didn't say it was the best solution ever, he said it was good for the price

  • @bandit70051 I didn't mean that he HAS to break the world record, but he is promoting a cooling method, so what's the best way to test a cooling system than overclocking? I am just curious to see the overclocking limits of this method.

  • Important Information to Uploader!:

Get the Harddisc-Drive out of the Oil, Immediatly !

The Harddisc's have a Membrane. This Membrane will get weak through the Oil. So the HD will get destroyed after a time.

Quest your Electronic-Sellers of Truth, if u do not believe me.

    No problem.

  • WTF??

  • TO ANYONE who should try to attempt to build a oilcooled pc, never, at any time, submerge the HDD, it will stop working!

  • @olive1913 what about an SSD?

  • @TheLycanjake1 SSDs are fine, because there are no optical or moving parts that could possibly be damaged.

  • How come the oil doesnt just short out the electronics? What kind of oil is it?

  • @blowenfuse oil is non conductive therefore it will not short out the components.

  • Passiant in the backround :D

  • well... wheres the fan for if it's submerged? :p

  • @frestylezz it looks cool :D

  • i bet his mom was all like uh son did u take all the oil from the kitchen

  • the hard drive has an opening so it can vent when it becomes hot, so there will get inside the oil, ruining the drive. I bet he had to replace that hard drive!

  • lube next hand ,lol

  • pitty not sata

  • @outwithlunch FUCK THE HATERS IDE IS THE BEST

  • The only up side i see is the little bit of fanciness, totally not worth it.

  • @FrozenThai actually oil dissipates heat quicker than air does, oil cooled PCs are much colder than fan cooled PCs

  • @Corporatism I don't think it's that much of a difference ?

But would rather go for normal water cooling over oil :P

  • @FrozenThai over air cooling, it's a big difference.

water cooling is more complicated since you've got to sort out all the tubes, and make sure everything is connected properly

i'm not sure if water cooling cools it more than oil does, it depends on how much the oil conducts heat. some oils work better than others.

  • @Corporatism ok, i was hoping for a more specific difference but :P

and water cooling is no big deal, I have done it once myself.

still, oil = Very messy stuff

  • windows xp,wtf

  • Fried PC anyone?

  • now if we get hungry while gaming we dont have to stop pwning noobs to go get food :)

  • a pc aquarium, where are the fishes ??

  • now you can fry chips!

  • sove how solitare was open

  • This is too .... much .... risky...!!!

  • what is the oil give even a link where I can buy it

  • now can i play SUPER SOLITAIRE!! :D

  • cool, now lets add some fishies and fry them up!

  • great! can make fries at my PC now...

  • put a FUCKING FISH INSIDE!!!

  • nao u dont need a fan, XD

  • its a extreme cooking system!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • It's a EXTREME OIL COOLING SYSTEM... just to play Windows Solitaire! XD

  • how dose the oil cool is down and how dose the pc still work when oil is in the pc

    ?

  • BTW wrong idea of letting the HDD inside

  • Holy merry mother of god......extreme cooling....to the extreme.

  • @mattg889

have you ever opened a HDD ?

it would be stupid if dust could get in -_-

and if it wasnt air tight that oil would stop it spinning at 7000rpm instantly

  • this is..cool

  • is it waterproof or liquid proof?

  • @computer5892 you use mineral oil (horse laxative) as it doesn't conduct electrical current.

  • wow thats awesome extreme cooling...but the pc components will brake?! whay not? and your power supply will get stuck or will not work like before. what kind of oil your useing in it?!

  • WHATS with de hdd THE can`t go

  • i dont get it.... wouldnt oil break the components

  • Mmmmmm deep fried non-edible chips :3

  • what if you want to upgrade?

  • @Computerprohelper u can upgrade with no problems just etheir stick ur hand in there, or take out the mobo

  • @Computerprohelper Read the description - they found an old computer with a 500 MHz CPU; I highly doubt they would want to upgrade it to anything less than a completely new system in any case.

  • @Computerprohelper Drain it and go make fries with coldadrenalin

  • @Jonkopoppers lmao!

  • @Computerprohelper Remove from oil or drain it, clean each part thoroughly.

  • that will cause electrical shock

  • @kwfine no, it won´t

Oil is used to cool giant transformators

  • dude that kind of cooling is not safe.

When the oil heats up theres nothing that will cool it down.

Also if you want to take your pc out of the oil it wil be oily

  • @GamerMaster2041 What cools the oil is called "laws of physics". Naturally, hot oil travels upwards to the top of the aquarium while cold oil is pushed downwards. IF the MB was positioned horizontally on the bottom rather than vertically OR if the CPU/GPU units were placed fairly low in the aquarium, they'd have a constant flow of cold oil.

However, what's DUMB about the above video is putting a power supply and an HDD into the mixture. You DON'T do that, oil is dense and slows down rotation.

  • They're supposed to be kept in a different compartment entirely, DRY.

  • @Foxi4Qnet I understand not putting the HD but why not the power supply?

  • shud put some gold fish in there :L

  • now im thirsty

  • Don't attempt in home, attempt in Office can

  • i tried that one time, i almost blow up my house !!!!!

  • you are nuts:))

  • you need only one fish XD

  • @diegolfz18 hahah Yeah

  • noob hdd out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • don't attempt this at home? lol? everybody can oil is pc, that's no arm in that... you CAM AND MUST attempt this at home!! --'

  • Can you post your Solitaire benchmarks?

  • @xlaleclx muhahahahaha

  • fish tank? lol

  • Was the box on top the power suply and transformer?

  • amazing Prodigy track FTW!!!

  • that's alot of oil for a computer that even can hold the cd driver into...

  • What special components does it have??? Like...?

  • My toaster work's best when in a bath with bubbles..

  • @urouk

    dude wat

  • what if u wanna change hdd? xD or put more ram... :P

  • @hristijank2 easy.... *no idea*

  • Mineral Oils as a Group 1 carcinogen to humans.

  • Did anyone else have an ear bleed during this video?

  • Water would work better, and a smaller fish tank would help keep it efficient. Really don't need to circulate, since the liquid just conducts the heat to the highest point.

  • @Julex29 lol, water,.. right

  • what do you use to cycle the oil. isnt it too thick to be circulated by PC fans>?

  • lmao windows XP

  • Well, that's one heck of a "lube" job!

  • submerging a hard disk drive and psu is going to end in tears.

  • @Thingamajigs ssd drive above the oil?

  • i bet , the pc isn't the one who is connected by the screen , there are another pc over there

  • This is gonna be one hell of a clean up job.

  • leave the hdd out man... oil makes it spin slow.

  • your not sposed to submerge the power supply or hard drive when you oil cool...

  • @Lunas2525 but you can, HDD can be blocked with sealant and can be submerged and psu is fine, but i would take that fan out and fans i would take them out, pretty slick though, but not my cup of tea, too big, too lubie :D

  • How do you turn it on and off/restart?

  • @Magienus Simple. Press the button. :P

  • can an i7 run solitaire?

  • wonder if manufacter warranty covers this XD

  • xD thats epic

  • your not suppose to expose the hdd or the cdrom into the oil. it will fuck it up

  • @Lethalis1234 Harddisks feel no pain at all; a harddisk is made vacuum/airtight, so no oil would touch any of the moving parts/ mechanics of the harddisk,.. DVD-drive I wouldn't recommend; every time i open my dvdplayer there is a oil-fall!

  • @6SIX6Bloodshedded no hard drives are hermaticly sealed not air/vacuum tight they have a filtered vent that would let the oil in thus screwing up the drive if you look the drive will have a hole on it that says around it do not cover...though i suppose there would be no harm in letting the rest of the drive be covered in oil...

  • now put the fish in that tank, i suggest gold fish :D

  • i gotta fucking try this....

  • guy that is holding the camera has oily hands
