  • This Video helped me out much more than the "Good Answer" one. (y)

  • Interview (面試) ~ Bad answer (不可能錄取篇) ~ Tell me about yourself. ( 談談你自己吧) .... eileen 菁菁... hahaha ( sorry,,, and goodbye )

  • I been in that comPlicated situation wher you get stuck at some point and come up with any professional tought that pop up in you'r head so i did what she did in my last interview so they never hired me but oh well, next.

  • I recently had an interview fOr Starbucks I didn't give a fuck I just went in ther drank alot of coffee and waited for the interviewer but I just wasn't sure what to say but I wrote it down on my iPod so I said hella professional stuff so now I'm waitingto see if he will hire me.

  • this suck really

  • Darn, this is nice.

  • pathetic

  • she is a nice actress !!!!!!

  • Or you could tell them that you are in fact nervous and it could ease the situation for you.

  • I mean ... the common sense ... whatta douchebag of an interviewer

  • she didnt anwser anything about herself....so what the fuck is the point of this video..

  • @Sense0with0humor read the title..

  • @Didster100 it says kiss my ass....can u read that

  • Lady, your fired!

  • lol funny person i ll hire her just for seeming like a nice person

  • What kind of douchebag uses "Tell me about yourself..." as an interview tool?

  • @leaddrop Maybe it is something new! I would love to have someone ask me that in an interview. I could pin someone down for two hours telling them the fantastic story of me.

  • Video, I am disappoint

  • At one point i told the interviewer after the interview that i'd like to do volunteer for them and see if they like my performance. i was willing to do that and said No with a smile. guess they dont want you becoming desperate and dont really wanna hire you fo sure

  • i feel you dude. i been turned down a couple times in one week for a seperate interviews. you know sometimes it's not so much about what you tell them but how they feel about you. thats why interviews sucks. there's somthng phony about it. these people lookin at you in that small room. you know you have the qualfications and skills but i just dont like your personality or character. maybe it's something more personnal why people get turned down. it could be your race too.

  • UH THIS ISNT GOING WELL

  • Lucky for me I'm an amazing liar and actor. I get jobs so easily but lose them pretty easily too. Easy come easy go I guess.

  • ugh this is how i'm gonna be. rofl

  • kind of funny, I like it.

  • Interviews really show the articulation in a person.

  • Interviews are a bad way of hiring good working people, but a good way of hiring good actors.

  • @SilverGunZoO hey i like that comment. i thought of that.

  • it's basically a matter of choosing what words you wanna use and what they like to hear. who cares if you have experience or skills for the job. if you make a mistake you dont get the job so go live under the bridge he he.

  • Mid-interview I always like to start complaining about "how hot it is in here" and then I take my shirt off.

  • Someone needs to make a video example about making a good video example. Rule #1... learn to spell. "Inappropriate"... not "innappropriate". Real professional!

  • WOW exactly how I responded to my post-seasonal interview with a Radioshack district manager.

Yeah she didn't want to keep me on afterwards, I'm thankful that my manager somehow convinced her to.

Even though I'm gone by now..so whoops...

  • OK, a lot of people are making sexist comments -- what if a guy were to be nervous? Would the guy get the same reaction?

  • @Mindraker1 I salute your being.

  • Yeah, she needs examples, but everyone gets a little nervous, and some of us just giggle because we're bubbly.

  • kkkkkkkk i was laughing at the same time i am imaging, if i could do that they will not offer me the job kkkkkkkk lol

  • Could it be that someone is tickling her from underneath the desk? And by that I mean her vagina.

  • Interview often do not match the nature of the job. The same questions are often asked for a cleaner, technician, salesperson or a manager. They are irrelevant.

If the question is unexpected and the answer is not rehearsed then we all talk like that. You could only say all those thing about a person if they had relevant questions well in advance and could prepare for them.

I am looking for a Q&A book on How to fake job interviews by profession (especially for engineers). Do you know such books?

  • Thank You, I will avoid these blunders. Practise is the key to avoid such blunders. With practice we can be sure that we dont look funny. I am using Espoir Smart English through Technology & Science as I am an engineering student. Technical skills are important but soft-skills are also important. To develop these soft-skills I am practicing to communicate, express myself. I have developed excellent Communication in English to a point of being totally assertive & can speak with ease being myself

  • Bad references=workplace terrorism.

  • thanks for this

  • hey guys making these videos. why don't we try limiting the intro and out-tro to about 2-3 seconds, rather than like 5 people talking.

  • This is very useful.

  • I would hire her over the "Good" answer. She doesn't ramble on endlessly.

  • i bet i get a pimple the size of a fucking oreo on my face tomorow morning before my interview.. first interview ever (im 16) and i hope i dont freeze up :(

  • lol that's exactly how i answered my question, why i'm watching this after my interview i'll never know.

  • why the fuck does there have to be interviews its like an interragation session dont know if i spelled that right.

  • that's very fucking god damn funny !

  • so what if someone is nervous during an interview...what relevance does that have with doing a job unless its a public speaking job.

  • whats even more stupid is that even tho u dont have a criminal record, have experience , earned ur highschool diploma, they sometimes never call you,

  • @Bulletpierce Your not the only one im in the same boat. Just try to stay postive keep your head up and stay hungry. Most imnportnat "NEVER STOP TRYING "

  • I'm a great interview... right up until the "pee test". Then, I just hope my dentist clears me from that point..

  • i remember i had an interview like this lol i still got the job though but i was 16 and it was at a movie theater so go figure lmao....

  • holy shit haha that would be me if it was my interview

  • "...this is a nice office youse got here...would be a shame if i didnt get the job and somthin happend to it.."

  • i do agree that this is a bad interview

  • thats me haha, when i had my 1st job interview OMG wahaha that was annoying

  • ha great im never getting a job.

    interviews suck.

  • @angelschic23 lol

  • it reminds me my first interview lol!

  • Bank of America corrupt? wait til u try Bank Negara Malaysia..

  • @Jfoo111 best reply ever.

  • I interviewed a Lady 4 or 5 years ago, she was way worse than this. I've never seen anyone that nervous, I've seen a lot of major BSers but this lady could hardly get a word out she was so bad. I have no idea what was wrong with her. We offered the job to some guy with a pony tail and he is working out really great (but I transfered out so he's on his own now).

  • One of the questions was about dealing with biting insects so I tell'em yeah no problem last year I disturbed a yellow jacket nest and me and my employee were swearing and cussing and one of the panel members says yeah nothing funnier than a bunch of swearing land surveyors running out of the woods slapping yellow jackets. More like a BS session than an interview but you gotta do it just to keep the paperwork straight for the HR types.

  • thank gawd I'm a Land Surveyor and I don't have to answer idiotic open ended questions like "Tell me about yourself." The last interview I knew two of the panel members for 5+ years already and the third panel member was an LS I had never met and the fourth was the typical useless HR person.

  • Uhmm hhaha, i am homophobic, not that um, i mean i there is any thing wrong with that, umm, wow, i just can' t think of anything to say about myself. Hire me :)

  • I hate interviewing. They are like phony lying contests. You could be a really good worker all around. But if you are a nervous type, a bad actor, or unattractive...need I say more?

  • @jjc1026 Anyone could say that they are a good worker, but in interviews you have to sell yourself. If you can't make yourself look nice, can't sound confident, and can't tell them why they should hire you, then the only person to blame for that is yourself.

  • @jjc1026 Ha, yeah, they seem like that at times, but they don't have to be. The absolute best thing you can do is display charisma, have a passion to you. Its the "extra bit" that can't be rehearsed. If you feel like that is hard for you to bring out, simply think of something that makes you feel that way, inspired, and let that come out in the interview. When I screen candidates, 10% of it is experience/wording of answers, the other 90% is that persons character.

  • @jjc1026

    You need not say more...

    That's exactly what it is!

If you are attractive, just throw a dash of charm in the

interview and you are in. Because the interview is all about selling

yourself. They wouldn't schedule an interview if you were not qualified

so that's the least of anyone's concerns when going into one.

  • @jjc1026 No. I salute your being.

  • @jjc1026 that's me lol, I'm too honest and straightforward type of a person which most regular people wouldnt appreciate

  • this isn't going well

  • "I'm disapointed"

  • I just say "if i don't get this job imma have to go back to ho-in'"

  • Ya know what, next time I get an interview at a job I don't want I'll curse, talk about how much nobody really wants this kind of work & that they just do it for the money because we're all a bunch of capitalist pimps & whores trying our best not to be actual pimps & whores; and for the big finale, I'll light up a smoke, put my feet on the desk, and say "So, do I have the job or what? Cuz you know I don't have all day." Watch me either get the job or get arrested.

  • U r nutz

  • You are my hero. I'd hire you.

  • Surprisingly enough, I actually got a job by being my rude, crude, socially unaccepable self. To a degree. Hell, at one point I had two jobs but the second job sucked.

  • @JohnBScott86 hahaha, I fucking loled at that

  • i thought this went well :) why do they even ask this question ... tell me about yourself ? well my answer would be what do you want to know about me, you tell me.

  • well.. this is kinda how i am even when i'm prepared, i screw up.. this is sad.. :(

  • Back off from the microphone a bit. Is sounds like you have it in your mouth.

  • For the record, the intros and outros are ANNOYING please for the love of remove those. And normalization from intro/outro and actual content is WAY off, blows my speakers when I play your videos.

  • I can relate..!! Coz i was doing this in my first interview!!

  • That's how i was on my first interview at wendy's. I kept laughing, i said that was an unexpected question, and i kept saying umm. Fortunately, i learned from my mistakes and was much, much better on my interview at cafe rio. I got a job there too. im 16 btw

  • This is kinda how I was on my 1st interview last month at Target.

  • Job "interviews" are the biggest crock of shit in the world; they're nothing more than personality assessments! There is no earthly reason that anyone with half a brain cannot look at your resume & determine whether or not you have the skills to do a job...answering irrelevant questions determines nothing other than how well you answer questions. If I were being looked at as a candidate for window washer, how does answering question let one know that I wont leave streaks on the windows. What BS!

  • Exfucking zacktly, I can't stand these retarded ass interview questions, I mean don't they get pretty much the same form answer from everyone they talk to? Do they think your going to do anything but sit there and lie your ass off and tell them what you think is going to get you the job? Its nothing more than a test of whether or not your a good liar!

  • hmjgriffon

I agree. First of all they already have your resume and when you get called in for the interview, you generally have to fill out an application. All the fucking info is right there before them. Why ask this question?

  • I so agree. I got a job interview in 3 hours. My first one ever. Janitor work. What's the point in an interview?! Look! I can walk, I got hands with all fingers, I can lift things up, I don't have a criminal record, hire me! Everything else about me is on the application.

What's going to screw me over is that I'm not a people person, so I lack in communicating with people face to face. I can't even look someone in the eye for more than five seconds because I'll feel awkward.

  • Update:

To my surprise, the interview wasn't bad at all. Lasted less than ten minutes, all the person wanted was to check over the time and day of working if I get it, although that could've been done over the phone, but thank god the person didn't want to get to know me. We would've been wasting both our time.

  • @weaponstheory hey man all good if your not a people person but you sound like u just got a bad attitude... and complainin about this shit on the internet aint gona help you out...just an observation, dont take it the wrong way

  • she wiggles too much so I would not hire her. Its not much about the giggle because gigglers are also "non confrontational" I am more concerned about the darting around than the giggle.

  • I hate capitalism.

  • I dont, well not anymore than the other isms out there :P

  • Well, I'm definitely not a sexual person. And totally not into girl on girl. The only reason I want kids is to get fat.

  • wtf :D

  • is that your standard reply to "tell me about yourself"?

  • Well, actually in today's tough job market I would probably change that to "I'm a very sexual person and definitely into girl on girl. In fact my panties are getting wet just thinking about ending this interview at a cheap motel. I don't mind having sex with fat mother fuckers if it means a job. How about it? Blow!"

  • Sweetheart, you start tomorrow.

  • Great. I'll stock up on condoms and buy the Brandi Belle Blow Job Techniques Video

  • what a spaz

  • good actress!

  • LOL. Now this is a good example of a bad answer.

  • lol That was funny.. I just don't get why they always asks stupid questions like that.. I've seen the once who they hire and then fires them after a week or so. That really makes no sense. STUPID people!!!

  • that is the best answer you can give that tells how honest u are lol

  • A successful interview is attitude and enthuasim. I am business owner and I can tell you resumes lie. Im glad I dont have a job, I remember going to these interviews and they sucked even though I would get hired. I'd turn the opportunity down. The only opportunity is becoming your own boss. And many people in America rather go seek a job. Its sick.

  • People can lie in an interview very well, so the only way you know if you've got a good employee is after they have been working for you. I have interviewed over 50 tutors for my small business in the past 2 years and the resume means nothing, how they tutor is what I need and I cant get that from a standard interview. So if the tutor sucks, then the parents will tell me and I will replace the tutor.

  • I agree with person 3432!That's what it is i guess...sad...

  • Well, I am a Zombie CEO, I worked myself up from a Zombie Extra on the set of the Dawn of the Dead. I am extremely motivated and will eat the flesh of others on my team, as well as our clients who fall behind on their

    accounts payable.

Also, I am proficient in MS Word, Exel and Powerpoint, as well as HTML.

  • Why would an interviewer ask a question like that? I understand interview questions that ask how a person would respond to a specific situation, but open ended questions like this are just pointless. The only thing they determine is how good the interviewee is at BSing and making smalltalk.

I'm glad that I work in a field where technical skills and experience are more important than what I look like and how I act when people ask me stupid questions.

  • They ask questions like this in order to give you enough rope to hang yourself with, or to tie up loose ends to secure the load of crap you feed them and show that you're worthy of a position with their company. It's not a bad practice, but to an unprepared applicant, it will bury them.

  • All she had to say is "what specifically would you like to know about me"

  • Every interview I've ever had asked me this question. They just want to see where your head is and how confident you are about yourself. If you can sell yourself without bragging, they like that. It's basically an open "This is why you should hire me" Question to throw anything you want at them to make you interesting.

  • Nice summary of the question. Your insight helped me. Thank you.

  • she cute, I'd hire her. Call me baby.

  • There is another school of thought that the 'Tell me about yourself' question is not actually work related at all but is more about your attributes and what sort of person you are .. go figure! How are you ever supposed to know for sure :)

  • Wow! That IS a bad answer!

useful to hear such a lacking response. It's good to analyze and compare a good response with a bad. Thanks for posting what you shouldn't do and not just what you should do. :)

  • You dont have to be full on serious when interviewed. You just have to show them that your easy to get along with and actually care about the business. She was OK, but saying sorry lowered her value. The giggling would be OK as well if it wasn't so excessive.

  • An interview once said to me "Haven't I seen you before somewhere?

I answered, "Yes, on The Cook Report."

    I still got the job.

  • I actually would hire her. She is very funny!!!

  • LOL i know what u mean man.... organizations are too damn solemn, grow some humor , companies!!!

  • I dont do that...

I still don't get hired. lol

  • hahahaha

no wonder i dont get hired

  • haha I hear ya

  • lol
