  • i like that engine.

    post the instructions plz.

  • send me plans plz

  • cool it gos faster now but is it strong

  • this is why legos are better than knex because you can make real engines that work (you use vaccum or compressed air)just type in nicjasno on youtube he makes lego pneumatic engines and he sells them on his website lpepower.com also if you click on my username you can see my vacuum engine that uses scotch yolks Lego pwns knex. but since some knex people use actual pistons and valves that move and such knex isnt to bad but lego is still better in my opinion

  • sounds supercharged lol

  • Just an fyi, that squeaking isn't a good thing... just like in a real engine, you don't want the metal to rub together bare, the same should be upheld for this... keep running it like that and the rubbing will destroy the parts, ruining the engine.

Some kind of lubricant should be used to keep this thing from destroying itself.

  • that was awseome u just been subscribed :)

  • plz do a how to ps i subed u

  • just tell how to make it allreddy

  • hay can you please make an instructables on how to make it

  • can you post a video on how to make it

  • lol im gonna go out on a limb and say that lego's has been around bit longer than k'nex so there are more ideas out there for lego than k'nex but that is my opinion i could be well wrong

  • K'nex is pro!

  • Lego has been around for way longer than k-nex, but i find knex mor of a challenge with the lack varying peices. its also cooler because you can see inside

  • k'nex is way better than lego, you would need special peices to make somthing like that, with knex you can make anything!!

  • what did u use for those belts

  • fat rubber bands

  • i have never seen that fat of rubber bands

  • plz just tell how to make small pistons?????

  • sweet plz tell me how u made it

  • i would of lubed some of those moving parts, to much friction can make them melt.

  • what did u drive the supercharger rotors with what sized gears???

  • how r ur pistons so small i cant make a small crank either u must not have main bearings to hold the crank from shaking i think its the main bearings

  • not as complicated as viper2788

  • Yea it is smaller there is a limit to how much stuff you can squeeze into one space with pieces designed to occupy a much larger area. That's the complexity of the motor.

  • i suppose so

  • I have some vidoes of my v8 its the smallest i can make it has push rods. how did you make yours so small, i cant find any other way to make it vary small. but anyway nice engine!!

    please reply

  • hey nice job but the rocker arms barley rock love the pushrods and are all those belts nessasary or just fro looks plz respond for some help on the cam and how did u make such little pistons do they have tops or r they just rods

  • Sweet!

  • whoa you can make stuff like this with knex? i though it was just a toy!?! cool i might get one and make a cool invention

  • dude put that in a like model car btw could you explain how it works like break it down

  • if you put this in a car made of carbon fibre, it would fly lol

  • It doesn't turn under it's own power it's turned by an electric motor

  • WOW!! nice work

  • please answere where do u get the desighns for thios

  • Designs can't be found anywhere for these just play around with these things and eventually you end up with something like this... usually bigger and bulkier like the other ones on youtube

  • WOW!

  • how did you make the crankshaft so small?

  • Nice!

  • dude im not kidding, stick that engine in a scaled down knex car, or like take one of them children's wagon/car things and soup it up:P

  • that would be awesome a v8 knex car :D

  • put that in a mustang !!!! lol 5/5

  • Canyo make a vid on how to make it or somin. that will be well cool if u could

  • watch my guns they are cool too!

  • the only problem is that the engine is geared too low, when you reved the engine up the rokcers weren't moving very fast

  • no thats the camera not capturing it fast enough the actual rockers cant be seen moving once the engine is at full speed its just a problem with the camera capturing motion

  • thats the best engine on you tube.

  • is there anny way you can show us how you made this model?

  • where do u get the tan ruber thingy

  • It's called a ruberband. I don't know if you've ever heard of them before? lol, only jokeing.

  • oh i thought it wuz like a belt of some sort

  • Well it is, or rather it can be used as one. That's all automotive belts really are, just giant re-enforced (re-enforced with steel or aluminum cables) rubber bands.

  • oh thnx

  • No problem

  • can you change the speed by gears on your engine?

  • As in a drive train... yeah but it would be impractical to use it on a starter/drive supply motor.

  • how do you make the pistens and cilenders so small

  • can you show me how to make this?!

  • how u making it go faster

  • Variable resistor and transistor combination driving the (starter) motor.

  • That's awesome!

  • Thanks man

  • thats cool what makes the funny squeeky noise?

  • the rubber drive trains make that noise

  • The drive train on this is run only by gears. The noise comes from the gears meshing together-the individual little teeth of the gears hit the rear of its associated gear (lashing) - this at high speed produces a frequency at the timing of those hits because this is at moderately high speed the frequency produced is high therefore creates the high pitch whining noise. The rubber belts make no human audible noise. This same effect is found on the reverse gears of many manual cars.

  • Im out of building ideas, do you have any instructions for that pleeeeeeeeease??!

  • well done was pretty sweet. only thing ive built was a car with two wheels

  • thats so cool...ive peen thinking about how to do all the valvetrain stuff...but i could never manage something that wasnt crap...hats off to you! :D

  • cool

  • nice!

  • That's interesting. gj.

  • how did u add pushrods/pistons?

  • cool as hell man
