Is william your son? Did he receive a transplant yet? I hope he is well..

Yes William is my son. With 24 hours to live from unexplained liver failure he did receive a miracle transplant. He was doing great, but at 5 months needed another tranpslant. He passed away May 19, 2005 waiting for a liver.

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. But God bless Him and your family for choosing to donate his tissue. You will probably never know all the people he helped save. But believe me we are all very gratful!

Thanks to Peggy for sending me this. Powerful statements, Kim! It's a shame not enough people seem willing to participate.

I knew a young man in his 20s who died several years ago while waiting for a liver transplant. He simply couldn't live long enough to make the top of the list. It just isn't right.

My mother was a donor, my father is, and my siblings and myself are. There's just no reason NOT to be.
