friends is C6 (cacgce) and stomp is some really weird open d or just normal d depending on how ya play it ;D (oh and C6 is also the tuning for non stomp bron-yr-aur i would learn that song also for it is da beast! XD)

This song is actually pretty easy to play on slide. The chords are almost repetitive really.

Slide players if you want to improv off a great song look up some stuff by The Allman Brothers. Trouble No More is good and so is Statesboro Blues. I'm surprised nobody mentioned Duane Allman yet, I mean hes JUST the best slide player ever lol.
