question: if you're left handed, does it make the move any more difficult / harder to perform? I always see right handed people doing the trick, and as a lefty it seems like it doesnt work as well for me :/
@goatunkown No it takes the same principles to do the tricks, and shouldn't be any harder. If you want to get a look download my videos from youtube an mirror them while you watch them, that will make it look like I"m using my left hand. A few of my videos that are up have been mirrored already, so check those out.
you have the best set of video tutorials ever! i havnt looked at many but the ones that ive seen all are the whole see it normal and then slo mo and thats kinda it...maybe word tut. but not like what you do. ive dropped it about 15 times or so but i never cut myself and i got it down well in only a few minutes! thank you.
What helped me when I learned this trick was to repeat the very beginning without letting go over and over and over again. You want to get to the point where you can do it fast and accurate so the handle always lands on the opposite side of your thumb. Then let go and grab the handle and flick it open. The hardest part of the trick is letting go. DO NOT FEAR THE KNIFE. Only then it will hurt you.
Love the look and feel of this move (when successful). But I tend to grab the blade instead.. which has resulted in two cuts in my inner pointer finger..
OMG MY BUTTERFLY KNIFE BROKE! Thanks for vid i started getting it and then it broke, Dropped it then the handle split in half. Now i need to but another one. Maybe a 40 dollar one instead of 20 this time :D
when i was messin around wit this, the blade was alot closer to the safe handle, so i ended up squeezin the blade and safe handle together instead of just the safe handle, lol got a nice cut on my finger...but good job on ur vids bro, keep up tha good work!!
dude ive been messing around with butterfly knives for 2 years and ive always done the same tricks cuz i could never figure any others out. but watchinf ur vids helped out so much. can u post some tutorials on some cool spin tricks. tricks like the zen rollover but with like my pointer finger and not my thumb
any chance you could show something on what to do after the rollover? i'm pretty new to balisong, only been at it for a few hours, but this stuffs pretty simple, however, i just cant seem to do anything after i catch the knife
btw, thought i might add this in, for folks who're begining at this, i found its really easy to just suck it up at a slow pace until you're comfortable letting go. soon as i got confident i got it 13/15 trys
Thanks for the advice, its always good to get feedback. Are you talking about once you catch it flicking it to open? Or once you've caught it getting it closed? Lemme know and I'll post another video.
So you wanna know how to do a rollover to close? Or how to end the move? Let me know exactly what you want me to clarify, and I'll post another video.
hey dude... the main move is just spinning it around your thumb and cathing the safety end correct? all that other fancy stuff you did at the end of the move was just closing it??
ohh cool i already checked out the orbit by azteckia and got it expect for the backwards douple rollout thing but i can just flip the knife around and stuff
Lol it only took you four minutes to figure it out, nice. If you got this then I'm going to put up a tutorial on the helix or some modified rollovers.
oh thts an intermediate move.....? i just got done learning that
