You can't really be an atheist. You can only be agnostic. Atheist means your believe that there is no God and there is no proof of it. Same as there is no proof that God does in fact exists. So, your only option is being an agnostic. Logic.

george carlin was a brilliant man. he was a gift to american people. you knew what you got from george no bullshit ever just plain truth. he was much much more than man telling jokes and being funny he was enlightened person, an artist and philosopher. just read comments on his videos and you will see who do people realy like. George Carlin was ahead of our times. He is a genius, he is a natural philosopher, a critical thinker. I do not agree with him 100% but at least 80% of what he says is the way I think. Many times i thought that way but I couldn't come up with the statements as he does. Of course he is older than me and saw more than I have. While we will indeed miss George a lot, it'd be better for everyone to take in his advice (question everything) and act upon it than actually get more comics to give us a similar message.

The funniest thing about swearing on the bible / swearing to God is that Jesus said don't do it. Matthew 5:34-37 says swear not at all, not by heaven or earth or even by yourself, just say yes or no, for anything beyond that is EVIL! george carlin was a brilliant man. he was a gift to american people. you knew what you got from george no bullshit ever just plain truth. he was much much more than man telling jokes and being funny he was enlightened person, an artist and philosopher. just read comments on his videos and you will see who do people realy like. George Carlin was ahead of our times. He is a genius, he is a natural philosopher, a critical thinker. I do not agree with him 100% but at least 80% of what he says is the way I think. Many times i thought that way but I couldn't come up with the statements as he does. Of course he is older than me and saw more than I have. He earned a place in history and he will be discussed by future generations as one brilliant , brilliant mind ! one of the greatest of all times

I hate when people say "He makes good points, but his seriousness is taken away by saying it in his stand up" but he's funny, and he makes you think. If he WASN'T a comedian, people would say he's preaching. If he was preaching, no one would listen. Comedy is like the drill through the wall of ignorance, it gives you a chance to listen, and depending on the subject, actually think. If you think his seriousness is taken away, clearly you're not listening to him.

Matthew 5:34-37 says swear not at all, not by heaven or earth or even by yourself, just say yes or no, for anything beyond that is EVIL!
