The original version of this song is on Lenny White's album "Present tense" (with Lenny on drums, of course), Victor recorded it again later on his own album "Lowblow" with Omar Hakim. Maybe you just like Omar more as a drummer, but don't say his way is the only way to play this song! Lenny keeps most stuff simpler than others, but he has a great groove feel, I think.

I like 'em both, but I think that Omar's version is more musical than Lenny's; Listen to Lenny on Miles' "Bitches Brew", and you'll see how his playing has become more conservative---Omar played the part in the fusion manner more suited to the song; remember, Bailey is a Weather Report alumni, so don't expect his overall sound to be that much different from that; both are great and respected drummers in the drumming community.
