i got to see this amazing piece of work at a small art gallery in LA just off the corner of La Brea & Melrose. I was in absolute awe. i grew up watching he-man and seeing this brought back all kinds of memories i appreciated it in so many different ways. thank you Mr. Burden, keep up the amazing work!

one thing though... im not too good at painting but why do you bother to paint in one colour and then paint over it multiple times?doesnt that waste time....or am I missing something

Either he was using the pink body as an undertone, or he just decided to make it green afterwards. Sometimes I use purple or blue as an undertone for human skin as it adds depth and realism. The other times he painted the area in a basic fashion in order to remember exactly where everything is so he could stop looking at the source images or the battle cat and just paint. :)
