  • I saw one just the green one in this video today, same color, absolutely cherry. It was an total gem. If I had somewhere to keep one, I would have made the guy an offer.

  • I love how these big heavy cars when you get them to slide sideways they just straiten themselves out without spinning out

  • the only ford i would ever own lol

  • They might float and sway, but they rode like a cloud on the highway. Great old cars.

  • hilarious, reminded me of old times, thanks for posting

  • your about 2 destroy a classic car!

  • @GOUGOUNETTE Agreed. The treat the old lady with respect plze.

  • i have a 1974 ford thunderbird. these cars are REAL luxury

  • That's about the only thing those ugly 70's rectangular boats were good for.

  • Now that's what I call driving it like you stole it.

  • I had one of these a 76 Landua though 2dr black/silver, hideway head light covers, fully loaded, and a 400 Windsor bb...

  • wow, I drive my '78 the exact same way, too much fun lol

  • that car is a monster makes my 88 vic look like a smart car lol

  • Bruutal video I love IT :ED

  • SCAREEEEDD ..

  • god this makes me want to be born in the 60's

  • its swerving cuz hes stomping the gas and swerving......dumbass

  • whatever bitches that car does great for its age

  • whoa Barnaby Jones

  • It's disturbing how much this thing wallows and swerves all over the road. The Australian Ford LTD wasn't by nature a sports car, but can still do a lot better than this.

  • @Mechknight73 Keep in mind that this car was already a beater when I bought it. It cost me $140 in 1985 for both the LTD's so you're looking at a $70 car. It bounced and floated all over the place but was still an absolute riot to drive. It was not legally on the road at the time as it never would have passed a safety check.

Yes, it did wallow, but the swerves were intentional lol. Thanks for the comment.

  • @StuntingSteamMcQueen I've got a car that's only 2 years younger than this, and every suspension component on it is shot, but it still doesn't do this. You're doing a great impression of an old fashioned American car chase lol

  • @Mechknight73 do what? have the muscle or swerve?

  • @StuntingSteamMcQueen no shit the swerves were intentional....quite obvious god people need to think.

  • Wow in 1985 You Picked Both up for 140$? haha....I still see a Red 1974 Ford LTD On the road here...I Do Miss where you could Pick these cars up for DIRT Cheap..Now a Beaten up one still running would go for a couple hundred bucks ...in 1985 these cars were Not worth Anything ...Just another Gas guzzling Clunky car...I would Love one though....

  • @StuntingSteamMcQueen speaking of safety checks, to my understanding you are from ontario, do you guys have much stricter laws in ON canada than compared to the DMV in the U.S., no offence but i think you guys should merge , canada and u.s. is what`s for me america combined, none is complete without the other IMO :) best greetings from germany

  • @StuntingSteamMcQueen Man I Bet these cars were so Much FUN To Drive!!

  • @Mechknight73 You should seek out a psychologist to help you cope if something like this actually disturbs you.

Or maybe it's just a typical foreigner finding any reason to make a negative comment about something American as he/she watches a video on an American-invented computer, via the American-invented internet, on American-invented Youtube, about an American-owned car brand Ford.

  • @Dumblikeyoutu You obviously don't understand humour as it was said tongue in cheek. We all know American cars float down the road like boats in the surf. Even the Australian version of the Ford LTD wasn't exactly razor sharp in handling either. Just laughing at how he's having way too much fun

  • this reminds me of that movie bang bang your dead

  • THIS IS HOW LTD'S WERE MEANT TO BE DRIVEN!!!!!!!!!

  • my dad have one back in the 70 s it was like a tank good memories

  • damn that thing is sweet!

  • boats are the best for dirt roads good times

  • i keep thinking chuck norris is driving the 76' ford and wanting to kick my ass!

  • somebody watched to much colt cevers

  • @triangletrexx lol "The Fall Guy" was one of the greatest television shows of all-time. Heather Thomas ... and a truck that could survive 90' jumps! The engine was moved back 3 feet. Mickey Gilbert did most of those truck jumps.

  • Hmm, I'd be willing to bet there is a Bar on the road from where that guy merged

  • My first car was one of these. It was an old fire cheifs car!

  • I plan to have this clip playing in a loop at my funeral. I'm putting it in my will now....

  • LOL!! Well ... sorry to hear of your (impending) passing, but thanks for the comment!! lol

  • the beginning is so cool it looks like a movie!

  • I'd love to buy one of these old machines.

These were really good cars; too bad they don't make anything like these anymore.

  • the rear tire shake was pretty cool.

  • Awesome video!!! Thanks for posting!

  • dad went through a wall with a 63 f100 i think, brakes when out or something, went right into a pizzaria, still was driveable lol

  • I love those old boats. Buddy of mine bought an old 79 Buick LeSabre for 200 dollars of some old lady. Green with green interior. Gas wasn't too bad got around 18mpg average. Had a small block in it though.

  • I rode in one of these once. It was powered by a big old gas guzzling 460 V8. Geez, obviously it didn't have a power problem. I remember that it rode like a magic carpet. Hmmm, appears to handle better than some other cars of its time though. It might be OK. I'd hate to put gas in it though. Try 5-8mpg I bet in town.. lucky to get over 12 on the highway. LOL

  • Oh man that looks fun! Those old American big-ass cars were fun to drive like that sometimes. Not so fun when you were actually trying to avoid hitting someone though! Even so, I often miss driving a big old 70s or 60s-era American car like that. Miss them like crazy.

  • At least if you hit someone you don't have to worry about your car.

  • ever want to remove a brick wall? miss a turn in an 84 olds delta 88...all them old cars are unstoppable. (no damage to that olds either lol)

  • Comment removed

  • Haha how can you not love 70's American cars. They are chock full of personality.

  • Mercury Montego FTW!!

  • woahhh easy there fella! Thats a classic car you got there. It reminds me of a chase scene from a 70s movie Mitchell

  • Awesome American cars rock!

  • Great vid!!! :-)

  • Best video on You Tube....I can't stop watching it. I keep thinking Telly Savalis is gonna pop out and kick my ass.

  • Kojak? Thanks, FonzyGrover. I think Kojak drove a Buick ... LOL! Thanks, man.

  • WOW I have a 1976 Ford LTD

  • This is all we do on dirt roads token drikin trippin Ahhh the good times almost anycar will do a donut in the middle of a dirt road we've done them 70's lincolns just in case you get bored today!

  • I can see this video was taken in 1985{Not trying to be Captain Obvious over here}.

    Is she still running?

  • How ya doin', Captain Obvious? LOL!!

Nah, that car was probably crushed 20 years ago. See that back tire bouncing like a basketball ... she was a beater. Fun stuff!

  • LOL :-p!

Too bad about the LTD, though. I'd love to drive

    one of those.

  • i like driving like that

  • What motor does that have? I have a 78 with a 302.

  • super cool teach the jap drifters a lesson

  • @hokman1 It could be said that Americans accidently invented the sport of drifting just from all those chase scenes with American cars. A light would have come on in someone's head: "cool, we can make a sport out of this!" Point in case; the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard

  • yo tengo un ltd 1977 con el motor 351 son

    buenos esos carros.

  • LMAO!

Ya know at first I thought maybe it was one of your old disgruntal girlfriends just tring to intimidate you! Ha!
