Elvis recorded This Is the Story in the American Sound Studio in Memphis on January 13, 1969. The song was composed by Chris Arnold, Geoffrey Morrow and David Martin.

This video was absolutely phenomenal in every way, 10 Stars as always. This is such an extremely sensational and underrated song. Also, Elvis sang it at only one of his concerts and that concert was the Midnight Show from August 26, 1969.
