  • at :44. That lady mention 90 percentile and 94 and 12. What is percentile? How does it work?

  • @chouavue2

A child who is in the 90th percentile in something, for example math, does better than 90% of his/her peers in math. A child who is in the 94th percentile in something, for example spelling, does better than 94% of his/her peers in spelling. A child who is in the 12th percentile in something, for example reading comprehension, does better than 12% of his/her peers in reading comprehension.

  • Good.

  • Some schools are good at helping struggling readers, but are not good at challenging readers that are reading obove grade level. Does this happen in every school? My childs teacher says that every child has to be one the same page when it comes to reading levels, even if it means reading three letter words.

  • Public education does an amazing job educating many children with a multitude of learning problems, emotional issues, handicaps, and just regular students trying to make it without all the help the above get. I'd like to see ANY private school or private school teacher be handed the issues public school teachers are handed and educate them with the success that they have! What experience do you have in the classroom. Mr. Cropper?

  • 0:30 "she is a slow decoder..."

Decoding is a terrible, destructive method of NOT teaching reading. They even have the gall to call it phonics, but it is the OPPOSITE of phonics.

    Damn I hate public education!
