Nothing beats Asking Alexandria's cover of this song and 18 and Life, but, this is pretty good. Vocals aren't anywhere CLOSE to being as powerful as they should be, but other than that, pretty good.

See for example C'mon and Love Me. They had it better than Kiss. Hammerfall is a great band, but this song just doesn't fit them! ...and beeing 'louder' and 'higher' doesn't make things better...

Hammerfall is a Power Metal Band, there's not such a thing like "pop metal". Hard Rock (a.k.a Skid Row's music style, although they added lots of heavy metal elements in their songs) Was popular in the 80's if that's what you mean.
Between the covers, I prefer this one. Don't get me wrong, but I don't like Death Metal or Nother, I think the "screamo" vocal style just ruins everything.

Hmmm, enough comments for or against what people think of the sound. I have a different problem with this cover. It's the same problem I have with S.B singing it or Skid Row. Shouldn't it be the we are the nearing our mid life crisis gone wild. Serisously, Hammerfall has been around awhile and none of them are exactly youths anymore. See for example C'mon and Love Me. They had it better than Kiss. Hammerfall is a great band, but this song just doesn't fit them! ...and beeing 'louder' and 'higher' doesn't make things better...

Hammerfall is a Power Metal Band, there's not such a thing like "pop metal". Hard Rock (a.k.a Skid Row's music style, although they added lots of heavy metal elements in their songs) Was popular in the 80's if that's what you mean.
Between the covers, I prefer this one. Don't get me wrong, but I don't like Death Metal or Nother, I think the "screamo" vocal style just ruins everything.

Its a good cover version, although Skid Row's version with Sebastian Bach is so much better, because Seb has a greater vocal range, where he can do these brilliant screams.

Hmmm, enough comments for or against what people think of the sound. I have a different problem with this cover. It's the same problem I have with S.B singing it or Skid Row. Shouldn't it be the we are the nearing our mid life crisis gone wild. Serisously, Hammerfall has been around awhile and none of them are exactly youths anymore. Just because they might date a 16 year old groupie doesn't change the fact they're 30 something. This is like hearing Alice Cooper sing 18 when he's 60.
