Crater lake is fresh water and over 1900 feet deep. It's the deepest fresh water lake in the US and in the top 10 deepest in the world. It's the clearest lake in the world with underwater viability of almost 100 feet.

@Vares65 I donno, even though Im a good swimmer I think I probably will be too scared to jump into a lake that deep. There's just something really creepy about a lake that deep...

@sunshnlvr This Dominican girl i use to date was a a swimmer at a pro level had competed in Triathlons actually traveled to Oregon to swim in thi lake and she actually almost swim all the way to the other end and i asked her how could she swim in deep water like that and she told me after 10 to 20 feet deep it reall doesn't matter how deep the water is because once you reach the peak to where you can't feel your feet at the bottom fear doesn't really mean anything to her.

I was there a year ago and saw someone jump off the boat launch at Wizard Island. He was very cold when he came to the surface! :)

i thought it was illegal to swim or fish in the lake. i always have wanted to swim it though
