i suppose they have sold out in a certain way commercially but not completley because the difference between muse and most sell-outs is that muse do not take themselves too seriously. they know what they can do and dont brag about being gods gift to music of which in my opinion they are.

it's some kind of touch pad, a cool thing to use for guitar effects. I think there's a guitar demo video about this feature on the new manson guitars on youtube. You can compare it to the 'magic twistbutton' on most of his manson guitars, wich enables him to pitch his feedback.

well yeh you probably could get a friend or somethign to that. but at the end of the day matt has a well known brand of guitar with a high degree of quality behind it. also with the added bonus of the best people being put on the task of actualy building the guitar.

At the end of the day its not all about sound. its about brand name and how it looks. u might get the same sound from it but won't likly be a one off make by a well known company

Yes a little compression is ok, because other wise you end up with a single loud point bringing the overall volume right down, but these days they go far to far.
