Yes, please! The more tips on kanji memorization, the better. As for sumo, I don't need more but hearing your comments on it would be interesting.

First question answer. i dont know what kanji is. so if u just give me a brief explanation on it then i would make up my mind.
Second question answer. Yes i've neer seen a sumo match before.

Kanji are the characters used in Japanese writing (from China; also used in other Asian languages). If you don't know kanji, there is no way you can read Japanese. For example, 'Japanese' is written 日本語。 Those three kanji are pronounce Ni hon go, and mean 'the Japanese language.' That's a brief explanation of kanji.

I was training to be a monk, but a year ago decided it wasn't the life for me. I love it, but am trying out a different life now.

I would agree that fun should be put in quotes. I'm not sure that it is really the word for it, but at the very least it is interesting and helps with self-discovery and knowledge.
