@lilbrownskin85 what exactly have you been doing to your hair to make it grow so beautifully? Could you tell us what products you were using or your daily regime? :)
What did you do to grow your hair so long cuz im tryin to grow my hair back long but i need help....can you please help. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
Hello Fellow youtubers/Hair Gurus!! this is chessica450 I would like to share some hair growing secrets with you all!!! this is not a get long hair quick scheme my goal is to maintain healthy hair, when your hair is healthy, then long hair will be sure to follow, I'm hoping that we can all go on our hair journeys together, I recently started mines, so come and join me!!!
Keratin treatment doesn't straighten your hair all that much especially if you African American, you will see very lil difference in straighness that's why a perm is preferred
I wish I had hair like yours. Mine is the same length as yours but the texture is different. Maybe I'll cut it all off and start all over... Thanks for the encouraging words at the end of your video. :)
congratulations! and omg thank you for posting this. I've been seeing so many natural hair journeys and as much as I applaud them, that's not for me and I felt like I was getting the "go natural" idea shoved down my throat, I love my relaxed hair, I just needed some guidance on how to take care of it. Love your channel, keep posting
Amazing! I've decided to start trimming my hair every few months. I'm also taking a break from relaxers. So I'm truly dependent on scarves and hats. Is there any advice you could give me?
I hear a lot of naturals say that you should not trim your hair so much...but I found out for me...I said for me...it makes my hair grow faster and thicker...I guess it is like when I trim my shrebs in my front yard...two weeks later they are fuller and healthier than before...That may sound stupid...but the concept is the same...trimming off the old ends is the right way to go for me Yes! I could be wrong...but I don't know...give me some feedback.
If you want healthy hair, relaxing it after cutting it would'nt be a recommendation! you should try keratin treatments, not only do they replinish and improve the overall health of hair and scalp, they also straighten the hair fivefold better than relaxers.. you Can't go wrong.
there a bit pricey but not if you buy ones with fewer ounces.
i hope to reach bra strap length y december of this year. Right now im shoulder length and trying to stretch my relaxers. Man i hope i get to bra strap by the end of the year. i been sitting home lately and been experimenting. But i will stick to my oconut oil deep conditioning mehod and as well as deeo conditioning.
How tall are you? I'm gonna do that too..I cant seem to hold on to length because I keep trimming smh. This video gives me hope that I can reach BSL by my bday in May. I am currently APL
Srryvi keep messing up but I just wanted to say hay ur hair is beautiful and I really want to how u do it so pls put vid on how u do it. My hair is a little past shoulder and cant grow!!!!! Thanks
Great hair journey :) Just starting mine and it's a definite new direction for me giving my hair so much attention but I'm wanting my hair to return to being healthy. It's past shoulder length but not as thick as I'd like it to be due to breakage over the years.
Your hair looks beautiful!! I started relaxing my hair a year ago and it was between my shoulder blades. Since then, it has become thin and most of my hair at the crown of my head broke off down to the scalp Its made me so depressed and sad. Also, my hairdresser constantly trimmed it, so it is a lot shorter than it was? With natural hair you don't have to wash it as often, and I was doing the same routine which is probably why it broke and dwindled. I'm hoping now with care it will recover.
@VeeBee81 Ummm with natural hair, you have to wash MORE often! Natural hair is in desperate need of moisture! That's probably why you're having trouble growing it. Wash 1x per week and add a leave in to your regimen and I bet you see a difference.
@tazzi2003 Well... when my hair was natural it seemed to enjoy not being washed and preened so often. It was mid back length. Since relaxing it, I realised with the change or hair quality, ph and moisture levels, it requires so much more care. It was only a year after I relaxed it that it broke off, because I wasn't washing, conditioning it weekly. I realise this now and I'm trying harder to give it more attention, more moisture and more deep conditioning.
@tazzi2003 No you dont. I am natural and I mosturize my hair with water everyday and seal it with oils and can go weeks without washing if I choose to. Its good to let your natural oils build up with natural hair. Chemically processed hair needs routine washing because It has those chemicals in it. But everyone's hair is different.
Congrats your hair looks so beautiful. Im on a hair journey and like yourself, I thought I was the only one that trims my ends twice a year. It does work and your hair still remains healthy. I was always advised to trim it evry 8 weeks. Thanks for the vid.
@strictlystarlight - Thanks! I use to trim after every relaxer because thats what all of the other girls were doing at the hair shops. Although their hair looked nice, it was always around the same length through out the year. I learned that if you take good care of those ends, they will definitly take care of you in return!
I am natural but still not certain about a relaxer. I have been natural for almost two years and had two chops lol what do u think wait before relaxing or what? And your hair is beautiful by the way.
@TrOyLiN25 - Thank you! Although im relaxed and im really satisfied with it, i absolutely admire women who are naturals. It does take alot of work and maintenance, but its very beautiful to see. If you have a tight regimen, products that work, its not interfering with your lifestyle, and you're truly satisfied with being natural, i say keep up the good work and keep going :-).
Nice progress..I am on a journey to growing my hair long also.It is nice to see that you have accomplished this and will be striving to continue.I have had a few setbacks also..like u said don't give up!I have to add more oils into my regimen and protective styles.
Oh My Goodness!!! Okay so I've been watching your vids. & I'm like she's pretty, she seems nice etc etc. Now I find out we share the same birthday! Gurl I am too geeked! Happy Belated Bday & Good Luck on your hair journey!
Do you have a video of your regimen? Like what you do after getting a relaxer and what you do in between the time? But congrats your hair is gorgeous!!
Beautiful journey!! Show 'em how it's done. :o) The more people see hair growth journey vids the more they will understand that it is possible but takes time and patience. You rock. Looking forward to future updates because I know you will reach your goal!
Loved the video it was very inspirational and keep up the good work!!! I to had some setbacks in my hair journey but with everything there are up's and downs. It took me over a year to find products and a regimen that works for my hair.
@mybaby5021 - You are absolutely right. And yes it takes time, but nothing feels better than having a set regimen and products. We're gonna get there! :-)
