Yea 2k9 gameplay was only slightly better than live 09, but overall game quality goes to live 09... cuz servers were always up and updates were instant unlike 2k where servers could go down for an entire week..;so u can't play online... updates also took at least 2 weeks after the trade window closed

In Live, the graphics aren't the best and the shooting styles of players are similiar when you are running . The best thing about it is the updates .

In 2K9, it's actually more challenging. AMAZING graphics, and the shooting styles of players is like, 99% accurate.

i have both games and play them both alot. game play is very similiar, 2k9 has one button for shooting and automatically quickstrikes for you, while live u have 2 buttons to score and another joystick to quickstrike. i love them both but i like live because i love the shooting mechanics of the game. the only real difference to me is the graphics. obviously 2k9 has better graphics because its 1080p while live is only 720p. i also like 2k9's legends, live should bring it back

I rented Live09 (so I thought). They gave me 2K9 by mistake. At first I was disappointed, until I put the game in. Graphics are good, not great. But the gameplay is excellent in my opinion. I have always been a fan of the EA product in all sports games, so I'm curious to compare when I take 2K9 back. If you like Live but haven't played 2K9, it's definitely worth checking out.
