if you hacked it you can only do it in singleplayer with a mod that allows changing what the spawner spawns,, if you are in multiplayer you got to find natural spawners or it will spawn pigs (if it has grass under it)

you should have done the wall with water too, because spiders can climb and can upset your trap and you get less items!

Why doesn't this work for me? Mobs just don't take damage when hitting the netherrack. They only take damage when they hit the flames directly...

@ihatecheez123 Hey I think I found out what the problem is. Fire traps just don't work anymore in the current version. They only work in earlier versions (same with lava traps, they now burn up the loot when they kill a mob) T.T

@jackfenny1999 You have to find them underground in pre-made rooms that spawn in each map. However they are one of the only blocks you cannot place as you cannot pick them up. You have to build the spawner in the room.

@Blondesrule95 Not true, a mob trap is rated on how many items per hour it gives out and how consistent it is, if it is supposed to give out like 4-500 items per hour but it takes longer to kill some mobs then others then the item count would be wrong and the mob trap would be basically useless for players that need consistent results.
