  • Good job man... thanks

  • why u didnt use vray pysical camera?

  • Finally a decent tutorial about exterior lighting, and a good 1 thank u! Quick question, why 2 sky objects, cylinder and hemisphere? Reading lachyray's comment, u can import illustrator paths into 3DS Max, but can't do 3D in illustrator, can in Photoshop CS5, ta

  • @Nastypsychoboy The sphere is only for reflections. You can't afford to allow the top of the cylinder to show which shows much easier in reflections (ie looking up at windows or down at water). Plus the spherical warping of any image (even a spherical one) wont be at all detectable in reflections.

  • I watched this video like 10000000 times.

  • @WhitePlumeMountain Have you watched the 1-hour version?

  • @3das3dats yes it's very good.

  • @WhitePlumeMountain

It looks like you live at least 195 years, 25 days 1 hour and 29 minutes.

  • Hey 3das3dats,

I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not but if i had designed a building using adobe illustrator, would it be possible to render it using V-Ray?

  • @lachyray You cannot produce 3d results (as shown in the video) in Illustrator. And there currently is no V-Ray rendering engine for Illustrator. Although you could do the floor plan in Illustrator, most do the floor plans / elevations / etc. within AutoCAD and then imported through 3ds Max (we take the line work & make that into 3d).

  • i do research after your comment, was my error and very very sorry, i just want justice for 3d desingers and original work, at first it seems you upload this video without the rights. Again, really really sorry for my comment, wont happen again.

  • @GovindARQ The teacher, Brian Smith, is one of the co-owners of 3DATS and originally created the videos. We have full rights to publish his work wherever and whenever we want. Shame on you for not doing your homework or contacting us in private about this matter.

  • @GovindARQ VisMasters does not and has not existed for a long time. And these were never owned by VisMasters...they were/are owned by 3DATS.

  • Better use Vue for vegetation!
