I don't think we will have bad economic times at all. I don't believe in the concept of a bad economy whatsoever. I believe each person is responsible for his own financial situation and it has nothing to do with what is going on with other people in the world. My online business has increased in sales, not decreased. The products I sell are luxuries, not necessities. I think this proves that there is no bad economy.

That's great, until the paper that the government says has value just because loses that implied value, and then it doesn't matter what you sell if all you get for it is worthless paper that you can't buy food or gas with. You're in the same boat as your country, to think otherwise demonstrates a lack in understanding of basic economic principles. Unless of course you're an ultra wealthy elite banker or someone that has a shitload of gold.

I believe given the credit reduction there is ALOT of room to print money without creating inflation.But my concern is foriegn goverments dropping the dollar , or bank runs due to some kind of economic collapse. In this case i can see inflation, Keynsian economist say that the ratio of debt our nation has to the GDP is still minor. What are your thoughts on this and the paradox of thrift.

It`s so refreshing to find there are people out there that still use their brains. For years in the media, particurally., British TV, they dumb down to the lowest common denominator. The vid were you, Lorax2013, buy things of value keeps coming to mind. I haven`t had a holiday for 3 years, but as money is getting devalued it seems better to spend £1000 on oil companies than consume wealth.

Yes, I've been making the transition myself, focusing on learning those agrarian skills. Luckily for myself, I'm already poor, so I've not as much to lose as some people. :) I take the most satisfaction in doing things myself already and growing my own food, so I'm looking for a second job at a greenhouse right now, employee discount, and seeds are the only thing of any value if you ask me.. im very fortunate to have grown up in the poor rural south..i dont like whats happening but my family and myself will survive better than many...clothing for growing boys and medical needs are my only worries..i can feed myself and several others as well as provide heat in the winter...

Interesting data Lorax, I had a chance to speak to Serje about Argentina vs. Russia. What kind of struck a dark cord for me was the amount of small arms in the US and the aggrevation of the crime level that would cause. I would also suspect a glut in the "protection" area as a result of this too. With hip hop already glorifiying the "thug", I imagine allot of "goons" and gangs will be for hire. I'm curious did the Russian's have a greater ability to adapt to local farming given their past?
