yes, but there is some talent to lipping as well... but mariah is a notoriously horrible lip syncer but is forced to because she no longer has the voice she had in the 90s.

Well she at least lipped some of it. I think the whistle was her though. I'm not really sure about any of the long notes on any of the live performances of this song. I think that the artist can pick and choose what they want to sing. Plus I hear they have software the auto-corrects whatever they sing. So if the note is off key then it will come out pitch perfect. Gotta love technology. Regardless, of whether it's lipped or not, it's her.

Not really. Mariah's style of "live" performances is layered most of the time. It gives it an angelic voice. So basically, she is singing but in the background she has a prerecorded thing going on.. Kinda weird but the whistle comes so easily to her, its her belting ability that is slowly going.

I don't think anything has gone wrong with her vocally...i think it's more to do with the singles she chooses to release. Songs like her latest release with nicki nianj (spelling) don't showcase all of her vocal stregnths. But if you listen to her latest 'memoirs...' alum (esp 'angel's cry, my personal fav) you'll sing her vocals, range and strength is still as strong as ever.

I fear it's more about jumping the commercial bandwagon than nething else. Dont loose ur faith!!!!!
