help! that whole box that you changed the tempo in and that has the metronome in and everything doesn't automatically come up when i open a new pro tools session. what do i do to get it pulled up now?
You can use this function with audio as well. You just need to change the audio track to tick based. You can find this in the edit window on your track it looks like a little clock. Click on that and change it to tick based. This will allow you change your audios tempo with whatever master tempo changes you make.
@FEROCIOUZ "Tap tempo" is BEST used with Midi though it can work with audio; its best to use it for simple audio arrangements because it fails mostly when used with complex audio arrangements even when set to "Tick based"
Though this is the fastest approach to finding a tempo, the "Grid+Bar+Loop" technique works best in any situation, but it takes a little longer than Tap tempo. (CHEERS)!
