There's a reason for that. Nintendo wanted to make a sequel, but there was a conflict with Square over certain rights. Nintendo finally did make a sequel, but they had to make it completely unlike the original. Hence the paper.

i have a good one, it doesn't freeze, it only slows down a bit when animations get too complex. and i'm playing it on a brand new 3ghz 2gb ram notebook running vista (yuck!)

I love this game to death. Played it a dozen times and I never get tired of it. I own the cartridge, have the ROM for it on my computer and will buy it on Virtual Console the day it comes out.

Best game for the SNES ever made. Quite possibly the best game ever made. It came out right at the end of the SNES's lifespan according to Nintendo, which then was getting ready to release the 64, which stank to high heaven by the way. Brings back lots of great memories. I remember playing this all through second and third grade.

Amazing game and argubly the best Mario after SM64. This is one of those games that was more then deserving of a sequel but never got one. Sakurai, the director of Super Smash Bros, seems to have a strong interest in putting Geno in Brawl so that may get the wheels turning for a true sequel...
