I would think most people would be happy that is the case, you should be praising innovation instead of calling it illegal.
It can't do anything except enhance the quality of racing, if the 'lesser' teams get an advantage because of it, it is no longer just a 2/3 horse race which will make it more fun to watch.
ive just made a calculation below, Torro Rosso will lead the constructors & Alonso will lead the championship, Ferrari will get pionts if they are thrown out of the 2 gps and of course torro rosso r ferrari powered so i wont be surprised if that does happen

The fia statements says: Cars at the 2009 formula 1 world championship must produce at least 50 procent less downforce then the 2008 championschip. another point is.. last year.. Hamilton won, now the rave is hes best F1 driver (i am a fan of him) but again its down to him having the more capable car.. thats been proven already by the fact Jenson button.. last few years in F1 has been mediocre at best.. but suddenly is winning races and perfromming well for brawn, why? cuz the team used there own interpritation on designing there diffuser and its better than everyone elses. i would love it they made all the cars the same specs.

i Totaly agree with you(shixiang9193), the diffusers are legal, but since they produce to much down force and they are in conflict with the fia rules, they are not legal any more. They (williams, toyota and brawn) will have to think at something else to catch teams like ferrari up!
Indeed. But in all honesty FIA should have delt with this a long long long time ago. I mean how can it take months for one person to tell the team "yes you can use it" or "no you can't". Uncle Ben needs to get it sorted instead of pissing about with trying to change the rules.
Looks to me like this is breaking the rules for 2009. The difference in height between the central and two outer sections must be equal and a maximum of 175mm. That doesn't look equal to me.
But the Brawn (plus Williams & Toyota) interpretation is that the central section is the same height and that this video is merely showing you the section of the rear crash protection bodywork that has been sculpted for aero properties and is outside the 175mm height restriction. Certainly an unintended loop hole but we'll have to wait and see if its deemed illegal.

Rubens diffuser was heavily cracked and distorted in the first lap
and Jensen retained his, and they were both posting very fast times and came 1 and 2, shows its not all in the diffuser
