  • Have an African grey nd I'm gonna do this!!!

  • am i the only one who thinks that i'm to cheap for my bird? lol

  • i got a parakeet

  • Im thinking about getting a parakeet

which one do u think they will enjoy the most?

  • @charmlover0708 all of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great ideas!!! love this :D

  • 4:35 poor bird, he only wanted to play.

  • Hahaha, I simply love the part when the parrot falls down with a hard, metal clang and she doesn't seem to care at all.

  • would the first water bottle toy be ok for a cokatiel??

  • i'm actually looking for something creative for my cat....some thing other than the water bottle thing.this gave me some ideas

  • would'nt it be harmfull for birds to eat suchthings?

  • I want to make a toy for my Indian ringneck out of paper. I'm jus worried it will eat the paper. Will it eat the paper or is it safe?

  • @Toxiop I'm not a bird owner yet, but will be soon, so I'v been doing lots of reasurch.

I think that it could be harmrul, but its your bird, if you dont think it would eat it you should go for it. :D

  • IPISSED MY SELF LAUGHING WHEN THE BIRD FELL OFF aww poor birdyy<3

  • in the womans head at 4:34 " im so cool now, i used my toys and gave it to the parrot. im cool cuz my viewers can see it playing" until...

  • @EliteAssassin26 LMFAOOO!!

  • hi, i have a parakeet and i wonder if this would work with parakeets

  • lmao! when she said ''in this segment'' at 0:04 the ekkie was like what your filming? xD

  • lol the birds behind her looked soo interested in what she had on the table

  • If you dip peanuts in yogurt and let it dry, ur bird go crzy:):):):)

  • Do you realize that plastic water bottles have a bi-product of gasoline oils? And much more harmful materials in it... Not safe for humans either. Plastic water bottles have cancer causing agents in them. Check out a documentary on Plastic water bottles... It will tell you the same thing... Just thought I would bring that to your attention!

  • @Scrompi88 She's using 'food-grade' bottles, they're completely safe.

  • she talked about recycling a water bottle, then she* bought* shreded paper :$

  • my bird is just rolling the plastic bottle :S

  • This is so retarded. Plastic in the digestive system can cause a very slow and painful death. It's really easy to make foraging toys out of safe natural materials (straws, wood pieces and sticks, untreated rope, paper etc etc), there's no real reason for using unsafe materials.

Once more, the experts of ExpertVillage are nothing but quacks.

  • You reduce something as well! MONEY!

  • Hahaa, at 4:35.. the bird fell off :P

  • @MyBudgieChiChi i laughed so hard

  • couldnt the plastic choke them

  • bird fell at 4:35 lol

  • Isn't plastic toxic for a bird?... And paper also?

  • @staryfruity no, lots of bird toys have plastic and paper

  • @1234wallawalla Ok. Thank you so much for the reply

  • excellent job with your video. Thx for all the ideas.

  • Hey guys , Can you help me with a problem?

I made my cockatiel a toy today.I had a plastic cup,and put shredded paper in the cup.He loves looking at himself, and has his favorite mirror.I put the mirror in the cup with the shredded paper. He was doing really well trying to find the mirror, until he decided to cheat. He started flying around his cage! The paper started flying everywhere!Yup,he laughed at me when I was picking up the little paper up off the floor.Any other toys that would work better?

  • @cCULikeMyPolarBearA hmmmmmmm, maybe if you packed the paper in harder, and covered the mirror more. but make sure your cockatiel knows its in there. or put things other than paper in, like pieces of string or something.

  • @LittleMissSuperGirl7 Oh boy ! The mirror was covered! But I'll try string.. thanks !:)

  • can you make toys for larger birds like a macaw

  • Yeah my bird does that too. Is it because of its breed? My bird is a sun conure. I am wondering if you have any idea how to make him stop being scared of things. Hes kind of a small/medium sized bird but i just dont know how to Gte hime to stop being scared of things.

  • My bird kinda gets scared easily so i was wondering how i can make it less scared so it will enjoy more of its toys.

  • You don't give your bird peanuts in a shell. There's a mold that grows on the shell that can make your bird sick! When my fids get peanuts it's the unshelled kind. Also you need to remember to clean your pinecones before giving them to your birds.

  • i have one male cockatiel and the only toy it has in the cage is the swing. i dont see the need of buying toys, making the cage smaller for them. i let my bird out and fly all the time

  • hi i found it odd that food grade's now equivalent as fodder itself even, if breaking past okaying container as not leaching plastic to content. so for these materials to be used to the extreme of safety thoughts at mouth's questionable when that's penetrated into parts. &o particle level slips it doesn't seem likely liver wouldn't find it poisoonous though it can surround victual to degree. & w/ many avian interests eased as captured to seeds more than fruit sometimes liver's already strained

  • @succulentesculent - Uhhh... Yeah. What HE said.

  • instead of useing a popsical stick can i use a straw?

  • Are you a vet?

  • the vidio plays up to 0.47 then it stops...!!!

  • the only expert village video that actually was smart.....

  • do i need to bake the pine cones to make them safe

  • @whereswalid Maybe you could boil them?

  • do i need to bake the pine cones

  • @Wombatius123

they dont reply, so i thought i could give ou a few tips.

Maybe when you go to buy the reed balls you could check the packaging and see if it tells you if it is harmful to animals or not, but if it doesnt say anything ask a petshop and see what they say :) hope that helped a little :)

  • Hi there! What a great video! Thank you for posting it. And your birds look terrific! -------- Question - would you please tell the name of the brand of reed balls and the brand of the shredded paper that you use for the toys? I always worry that I will buy something with poison or some additive that is harmful to my birds. I thought I'd hunt down exactly the brand of reed balls and shredded paper you use, therefore. THANKS SO MUCH! And thanks for being so good to your birds! :-)

  • i have a question , the toy with the water bottle , can that toy be used for cockatiels . please could you make a video with toys for parakeets and cockatiels.

  • birds toy??? i think peanut is toxic to cockatiel!!!

  • How do you make a bird not scared of you

and how to mske them active

  • @SPECTACULAR1340 you can't just make them like you, try sitting near the cage often and offering treats through the bars, never force yourself upon them. And any parrot will go at a toy if its there :)

  • Thank you for the great ideas.

  • do all of the brands of straws, and other things you show there are safe???

  • i have a budgie

  • I have a cockatiel and am making a play gym for him now. I will try and post it when I'm done. I'm worried about plastic stuff that can be swallowed.

  • does this also work with cocketiels

  • True the bottle can cut the bird.

  • yeah the bottle i dont think its safe, because when the plastic is torn apart, it gets really sharp, if they try to hold it with their feet they might cut themselves or poke an eye

  • Some of your ideas don't seem very safe. I get all my bird toys at Super Parrots because they have been approved by an avian vet.

  • You have some great tips and thank you for making a video to remind people that birds need toys.

Regarding the plant comment. I also noticed that you have a plant near your bird that looks like a golden pothos, which are very toxic to birds.

I also have concerns about the plastic bottle and straws. Those are things that many birds would chew up easily and potentially swallow the plastic.

I like your paper bag idea and wooden spoons.. Simple and something anyone can do.

  • And also i am worried about the peanuts, the um... little bugs or what ever, and i really like the idea about the spoon.;] Make sure that those plants that are on your table are bird-safe.

  • A problem with a plastic bottle, is your bird will also eat the plastic, which can cause problems in the digestive tract. You have to make sure you remove small pieces immediately. The colored balls would concern me too, since you don't know what kind of dye was used, but most likely it isn't anything good for your bird. You should only use vegatable dyes, which are easy to know if it is a veggie dye because it washes off with water. You need to be careful with toys or things you use as toys.

  • 4:42 parrot fell!!!! :(
