  • You say 1 through 10, but all I found was 1 2 and 5.? Great video but it would be good to see the rest

  • Norman Petty was a thief and manipulate some young kids into putting his name on everything so HE could collect the thousands of dollars, by todays standards millions ! Maria Ellana is on record as saying they confronted him but still was not able to get Buddy's money and had to start leagle action. HE NORMAN PETTY drove Buddy to take the horrible tour in the fridged north during winter and caused his death..

  • Jerry seems like he's cool.

  • Rock on, Buddy.

  • What a legacy these people hold.

  • jerry is such a boss

  • Where can I find the rest of this program? It's very informative.

  • 2:23 "I just emptied a box last night", then he gets a Jim Beam box.....great stuff, and even greater playing. Is it just me or was drum playing better back then?

  • 4:12 love it :)

  • every new band should do at least 1cardboard box song ;)

  • @controversyking

That's the reason why Macca made this film, because the biopic was so far off the mark.

  • ABSOLUTELY fantastic!

  • AMAZING drum stuff.

  • Dammit, if Jerry isn't ridiculously underrated for his contributions to rock and roll drumming. He still had "it" at this point, too.

  • GOOD TO SEE/HEAR DON EVERLY TELLING HIS PART OF THE BUDDY HOLLY STOTY..

  • Thanks for posting this...thanks to all who helped on this movie

  • Something like 'Well Alright' is stunningly simple, particularly the ride symbol which really gives the song it's distinctive momentum.....musicians generally speaking are just to full of it to try things that basic....but they're often the things which make recordings special and distinctive....RIP Buddy.

  • @clean3 'Peggy Sue'....all down-strokes....simplicity itself, and yet just so exciting; anything else just wouldn't have been right. I've seen so called brilliant guitar players over complicating it because their egos couldn't deal with the simplicity of it.....needless to say they sounded like s**t.

  • The fourth guy in the video clip was Niki Sullivan who left the Crickets at the end of 1957

  • Jerry is the greatest - how could a band with him in not go places?

  • Why is it that the 4th guy ( guitar player) in the Holly band was not included in the 1978 Buddy Holly Story movie ?

  • @allexx123 Because that movie was far far beyond inaccurate in many ways. I reccomend searching out a book called "Remembering Buddy". It's out of print now but I found it at my library.

  • I like how Jerry is using the end of the stick, not the tip, during the Peggy Sue live performance.

  • Man, the crickets are some super talented musicians. This doc is worth watching just for their demonstrations!

  • 4:28 love the drum playing

    4:47 love the latin-rhumba beat

  • 2:38 Jerry is ace on the cardboard box!
