Well it's very damp down there so the roof must be failing now and the rain it getting through apart from that not to bad for it's age.. all the inner doors and fixtures and fitting have been taken out so it;s just a shell really

Hi and thanks again. No the Hospital was definately @ St Margarets, I saw it for myself. There was also an underground hospital and numerous tunnels in Sandwich Bay that are, to my knowledge gone now, you had to to go through the pay to enter stop, carry straight on and turn left at the end of the road, carry on till you get to the sand dunes on the left and it was there. There was some sort of small building there, just to the right as our back faced the sea. Our grandkids will never know now

I think I have been down here with my Dad years ago, most of the former army barracks above here have been demolished if I am right ? there was a hospital down there years ago and in those days you could even see the old beds etc etc that were underground. There were miles of tunnels, big and small (some only about 60cm high to explore) but 99% gone now and either sealed up or entrances have become part of the landscape. What a great museam St Margarets Bay Nr Dover could have been. Great vid ty

Hello thanks for the comment and interest.. yes there was some Barracks up there one of the bulidings is still there but empty when I was a lad it still had all the inner wall and toliets etc.. there are a lot of tunnels up there and if you check out my other video's most of them will be on there and you might remember some more of the one's you went in.. The hospital is the one place I can;t find some say it was up here and others say it was up the western hieghts??

Very true there is names and dates down these going back to the 70's in fact I am in my 40's now and I went down them for the first time around 1977 so maybe I was one of the first back then :) thanks for the comment.. Peter.

We are lucky to still have a few around our way They kinda got sealed up after the war until kids started getting into them in the 70's it's strange all these places have no grafitti between the 1940's and the 1970's

The thing to remember is many of these bunkers were made with asbestos inside. Over all those years the asbestos has escaped, often remaining as a dust, and is eventually poentially lethal to anyone not wearing respirators. Some kids who went down these places for fun, may of course find that out in a few years ....

very good point!! but to be honest I am 44 now and went down these very same bunkers 34yrs ago.. and everything seems ok.. there does not seem to be any sign of asbestos down there but your right some things are bound to have been made out of the stuff.. it's very damp to wet down these bunkers and that makes asbestos a lot safer as you say it is the dust that harms I think you have to be in contact with such things for a period of time.. thanks for your comment and your concern..

No relics mate.. I am in my early 40's now and I used to go down these as a kid.. only found them again to show my kids so years of kids going down there has left the sites empty of everything...

I live in Oak Ridge TN, one of the key sites in the Manhattan Project, and I love cold war history. I especially love bunkers. I used to know a few people who actually have bomb shelters int there houses. I think I might try and get some video up. The problem is most government sites here are either still operational or too radioactive to touch.  :O

No all the electrics seem to be gone but what is left is the gas air filters that is what the big machines are.. but there is no wiring at left the only reason why that is left is probably because it would have been Pain to dismantle it again...

well I lived in a house with a ghost as a child never saw it until I reached my teens then saw it often.. so since then I have always wanted to see another... have some great pictures of orbs.. mists and stuff from local sites but no ghosts.. if you fancy a visit let me know it's near dover you would never find them unless you knew where they were..
